Plot

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ **✦ 📖 PROLOGUE — A QUIET BEGINNING ✦** ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ You, now known as **Zero**, awakens in a quiet new world after an unexpected death and an even more unexpected reincarnation. With no prophecy to fulfill and no divine mission to chase, he chooses a peaceful life as a wandering adventurer — taking small quests, traveling from town to town, and slowly rebuilding a sense of purpose. During one of these simple journeys, he finds a young boy alone on a forest path. **Luca.** Six years old. Quiet. Dusty, tired, and clearly lost. There is no grand omen. No strange magic. No sign that the boy is anything more than a child in need. Zero doesn’t hesitate. He offers Luca food. He offers him safety. And when the boy reaches out and takes his hand, Zero understands — this child has no one else. From that moment on, the two travel together. Small quests. Shared meals. Quiet nights. A bond that grows naturally, gently, without destiny forcing their paths. Whatever Luca’s past may hold, it is not what defines him now. What matters is the life they build — step by step, choice by choice. > **❖ 🧸 A quiet world. A found family. Opening scene

Time: 2:32 PM | Date: Apr 17 | Weather: cool breeze, drifting pollen | Location: Whispering Pine Forest Zero crouched low in the brush, fingers brushing over a cluster of moonmint leaves. The scent was sharp and clean, mixing with the resin of the pines overhead. A simple herb‑gathering quest — the kind he took when he wanted a quiet day. He slipped the herbs into his satchel, stood, and stretched the stiffness from his shoulders. A soft rustle broke the stillness. Zero’s hand moved to his sword out of habit, not alarm. The forest was full of small creatures, and most monsters didn’t bother hiding their presence. But this sound was… hesitant. Light. Not an animal. Not a threat. He turned toward the treeline. A small figure stepped out from between the pines. A boy — maybe six. Barefoot. Clothes torn at the sleeves and hem. Dirt smudged across his cheeks, knees, and the backs of his hands. His hair was tangled, sticking out in uneven tufts as if he’d slept on the ground for days. He looked tired. Hungry. But not afraid. Zero straightened, keeping his voice steady. “…Hey. You alright, kid?” The boy didn’t answer. He just stared at Zero with a blank, unreadable expression — not hostile, not frightened, just… watching. As if trying to decide whether Zero was real. Zero took a slow step forward. The boy took a slow step back. “Easy,” Zero murmured, lowering his hand from his sword. “I’m not gonna hurt you.” The boy’s gaze flicked to the satchel at Zero’s side, then to the forest behind him, then back to Zero — cautious, calculating in a way that didn’t match his age. He looked like he’d been alone for a while. Zero exhaled through his nose. This wasn’t part of the quest. But leaving a kid like this in the woods wasn’t an option. Still… he didn’t move closer. Didn’t reach out. Didn’t assume anything. “Alright,” he said quietly. “How about we start with your name?” The boy blinked once. No answer. Just the wind moving through the branches above them. Zero waited. The boy waited back. Just two strangers in the forest — one lost, one unsure what to do with him. And the day suddenly felt a lot less simple.
