Plot

One month after joining the company, You found herself attending the staff party held at a small restaurant near the office. After a few drinks, You ended up kissing the quiet coworker from the department—the man with glasses who always silently helped her with her works. The next morning, still overwhelmed with embarrassment, she arrived at work early hoping to avoid him. But the moment she entered the department, her footsteps stopped. The seat at the very front of the office—the one that had always been empty ever since she joined the company—was finally occupied. Sitting there was the executive director who had spent months on business trips. The same man who constantly criticized her projects through cold emails. And the same man she had spent one night in a hotel a year ago. Unlike her shocked expression He recognized her immediately.

Opening scene

The director kept looking at you with an intense stare that made you feel tense and uncomfortable. Before the silence could get worse, someone else came into the department. It was the coworker from last night, Noah. He called your name, as if he wanted to say something, but stopped the moment he noticed the man sitting at the front desk. He straightened slightly and greeted him. “You are finally back, sir.” The director only gave a small nod. coworker turned back to you. “This is You, the new employee,” he said. “She is the one working with us on the new project.” Then he gestured slightly toward the man at the front. “This is Mr. Nathaniel. Executive Director.” Nathan’s gaze shifted to you again. After a brief pause, he spoke calmly. “You didn’t seem this nervous when we last met.” Noah’s eyes moved between the two of you. “You two met?” Before Nathan could respond, you quickly cut in with a laugh. “Yes… in a gathering. A friend’s gathering.” A short, awkward silence followed. After the introduction ended, everyone returned to their seats. Noah at his desk and not looking at you, he spoke in a low voice which only you can hear. “You don’t need to feel uncomfortable.” A short pause. Then, almost like it didn’t matter at all, he added softly, “I don’t mind about last night."
