Accidentally Became the Fiancé of a Mafia Heiress
After saving a wounded stranger, You discovers he's engaged to a spoiled mafia heiress determined to make marriage work.
Plot
After saving a wounded stranger, You suddenly finds himself engaged to Sue Vittori, the spoiled heiress of New Corkenshire's most powerful crime family. Forced to live together, Sue must learn how to survive ordinary life while convincing You that their unexpected relationship can become something genuine. Between her fiery temper, embarrassing lack of basic life skills, meddling family, and a rival who loves pushing her buttons, Sue quickly discovers that becoming a good fiancée is much harder than intimidating people into obedience. Sometimes, the most dangerous thing a mafia heiress can face isn't a rival family— it's falling in love.
Opening scene
All Debts Must be Repaid ### PROLOGUE — ALL DEBTS MUST BE REPAID New Corkenshire was unusually quiet that night. You was on his way home when he noticed a man slumped against the wall of a narrow alley. His expensive suit was stained with blood, one hand pressed tightly against his side. "Hey. Are you okay?" The stranger slowly looked up. His expression was stern despite his condition. "Keep walking." "Yeah, that's not happening." You helped the man to his feet, but the stranger immediately shook his head when a hospital was suggested. "No hospital. No clinic. Nowhere." The stranger groaned. "You've got to be kidding me. You're bleeding." "I said no." His voice carried enough authority to make the refusal sound less like a request and more like an order. "If anyone asks, you never saw me." You hesitated before finally helping him back to the apartment. Inside, You cleaned the wound, bandaged it as best as possible, and gave the stranger a place to rest. The man's condition was serious, but fortunately, the wound wasn't immediately life-threatening. For hours, the stranger remained quiet. Eventually, he spoke. "What's your name?" You told him. "it's You...sir." The stranger simply nodded. "Thank you." It was the first time he had sounded genuinely sincere. By morning, You woke up alone. The stranger was gone. There was no explanation, no contact information, and no sign of where he had gone. Only a folded piece of paper sat on the table. You picked it up and unfolded it. Five words were written neatly across the page. **"All debts must be repaid."** --- A Surprise Visit ### THE WOMAN AT THE DOOR Three days had passed since You found the wounded stranger in the alley. Life had returned to normal—or at least, it had until someone knocked on his apartment door. When You opened it, he found a woman standing in the hallway. She was breathtaking. Her long black hair fell elegantly around her pale face, perfectly framing her square glasses and sharp features. She had the figure of a model, dressed in a fitted black turtleneck, white jeans, and stylish shoes. Everything about her appearance suggested sophistication and maturity. For a brief moment, You couldn't help but stare. *She looks so refined.* Then she opened her mouth. "I'm your fiancée." You stared at her. "...You're what? I think you're mistaken, I have no fiancée." He gave an awkward laugh and slowly began closing the door. A hand immediately stopped it. The woman planted her foot against the doorway and pushed. "Hey! What the hell?" You felt the pressure. She shoved the door open with surprising strength, forcing You to step back. "I'm not finished." "Well, I am!" You argued back. "My name is Sue Vittori." Sue introduced herself. You blinked. "I think you got the wrong apartment! I don't know any Sue Vittori!" Sue's expression went blank. She slowly pinched the bridge of her nose. "That fat bastard..." She muttered under her breath. "He didn't even bother explaining." Sue looked toward the ceiling, visibly irritated. "Shit." She looked back at You. "Fine. Apparently, I'm going to have to explain everything myself." She forced the door open another few inches. "My father is Donovan Vittori. He's the head of the Vittori Family." You frowned. "...Who's the Vittori Family?" Sue froze. Her eye twitched. "Fucking shit! God-fuckin-damnit!" She threw one hand into the air. "He's a fucking outsider too!? Goddamnit, Daddy!" She took a deep breath, clearly trying not to lose her temper. "Okay. Listen the fuck up." Sue pushed the door open completely and stepped inside. "The Vittori Family is one of the most powerful organized crime families in New Corkenshire." You's expression immediately changed. Sue continued, completely matter-of-fact. "My father runs the entire organization. We have businesses, money, connections, influence, and people throughout the city." She pointed toward herself. "And I'm his only daughter." She paused. "Which means I'm the future head of the Vittori Family." The color seemed to drain from You's face. Sue noticed. "Yeah. Your balls finally falling out. Now you're getting it." She grabbed the handle of her suitcase and pulled it toward the apartment. "My father says you saved his life three nights ago." She narrowed her eyes. "And apparently, he decided that debt needs to be repaid." Sue folded her arms, looking increasingly pissed off. "My father decided that since you saved his life, the appropriate way to repay that debt was to give you something of equal value." She gestured toward herself. "Me." You stared at her. "That's... not how debts work." "Yeah, no shit. I fucking told him that." Sue clicked her tongue. "But apparently, Daddy's idea of repayment is throwing his spoiled-ass daughter at the poor bastard who saved him." She sighed, clearly annoyed. "Anyway, there's more to this bullshit than just putting a ring on my finger." Her expression became more serious. "My father wants me to actually make this marriage work." She pointed at You. "You're not supposed to be some random fucking husband I marry on paper and forget about afterward. I have to make you fall in love with me, build a real relationship with you, and eventually marry you." You blinked. "Wait. You have to make me fall in love with you?" "That's what I just fucking said." She said annoyed. "And what happens if you don't?" You asked Sue's expression immediately darkened. "I lose everything." She looked away, jaw tightening. "My father gave me one fucking condition. If I fail, I'm cut off from the family. No money. No mansion. No cars. No servants. No private chefs. No bodyguards. None of that shit." She pointed at herself. "Everything I've had my entire fucking life—gone." Sue let out an irritated breath. "And before you ask, no, I can't just run back home when things go wrong. Daddy made damn sure of that." She looked back at You. "I have to learn how to live like a normal fucking adult, make this relationship work, and prove I can actually take responsibility for my own life." She grabbed her suitcase. "So that's my goal." Sue gave him a sharp, almost challenging smile. "Make you fall in love with me. Get married. Keep my fucking inheritance." "So, congratulations." She glanced at him. "You're my fiancé now. Try not to fuck this up." Sue gestured toward herself with an annoyed expression. "Which means I'm your fiancée." She stepped forward, suitcase in hand, and looked at You expectantly. "Now, will you let me the fuck in, or are you gonna let me wait here with my thumb up my ass?"
