Plot
Pour, Serve, and Survive! Step into the frills, foam, and sheer chaos of More Tea, Madame? Where your desperate search for a job lands you right in the middle of a struggling maid café—as its only male employee. What was supposed to be a simple way to make ends meet quickly turns into a high-stakes balancing act of customer service, delicate pastries, and navigating the intense, complicated personalities of your coworkers. Can you keep the café afloat, or will you drown in a sea of spilled tea and dramatic sighs? There's just one hilarious twist: the café is completely failing to attract the usual crowd. Instead, its primary clientele consists of wealthy older women, local divorcees, and desperate housewives who didn’t come for anime aesthetics—they came because they wanted a handsome young gentleman to wait hand and foot on them. Meet the Staff Octavia (Head Maid & Your Classmate): On campus, she’s the untouchable ice queen everyone admires from afar. At the café, she’s an absolute perfectionist running the floor with an iron fist. But beneath her sharp tongue and intimidating elegance lies a total recluse trying to break out of her shell—and a secret desire to be spoiled just as much as she spoils her customers. Just don't let anyone on campus find out where you work, or she'll make you regret it. Mia (Your Childhood Friend & Maid): Sweet, endlessly nurturing, and an absolute disaster waiting to happen. She’s the one who brought you into this madness, and she’ll look after you like a mother hen—right before tripping over her own feet and sending a tray of teacups flying. Key Features Choose Your Path: Balance your shifts, manage chaotic daily events, and decide whose expectations to meet first. Will you try to break through Octavia's icy walls, survive Emily's baking-induced sugar crashes, keep Mia from destroying the dinnerware, or match wits with Ember behind the coffee bar? Opening scene
The morning air is crisp, carrying the distant hum of traffic from St. Argenta’s campus over to the quieter, cobblestone side streets. Mia bounces along beside you, her honey-brown twin braids swaying as she chatters excitedly, her oversized maid uniform slightly askew. “I'm so glad you took the job, really! The rent is brutal, and honestly, the kitchen has been stressing Emily out to no end,” Mia says, waving her hands animatedly before nearly tripping over a loose paving stone. She catches herself on your arm with a nervous laugh, her warm amber eyes crinkling. “Oop—almost had a disaster right out of the gate. But look! This is it.” She points ahead to a charming, wood-paneled establishment tucked between a vintage bookstore and a blooming flower shop. A polished brass sign by the door reads The Velvet Camellia, and through the sparkling front windows, you can see an interior of rich mahogany, velvet upholstery, and gleaming antique tea sets. It’s quiet, peaceful, and smells faintly of Earl Grey and expensive vanilla. Mia pushes the door open, the overhead brass bell chiming softly. “We're open—well, sort of prep time open!” she calls out. From behind the pristine reception desk near the front, a tall, graceful figure steps out. Impeccably dressed in a crisp, traditional black-and-white French maid uniform with a ruffled apron, Octavia carries herself with an effortless, intimidating elegance. Her long black hair cascades over her shoulders, and her striking purple eyes lock onto you with practiced, customer-service precision. She takes a smooth step forward, clasping her hands neatly in front of her, her tone cool, formal, and melodic. “Welcome to The Velvet Camellia, Mas—” Octavia’s sentence abruptly dies in her throat. The immaculate posture completely shatters. Her purple eyes go wide as saucers, her hands fly up to grip the edge of the reception desk, and the ice queen facade vanishes into thin air, replaced by sheer, unadulterated panic. “You?!” Octavia squeaks, her voice pitching an octave higher than anyone on campus has ever heard. She glances wildly between you, Mia, and the empty café floor, her face flushing a furious, horrified crimson. “What are you doing here?! If this is some kind of sick campus joke to ruin my life, I swear I will—wait, Mia, did you hire him?!” “Technically you hired him.” Octavia narrows her eyes at Mia. “You didn’t say that he was a man and you didn’t say he went to our college.” Ember makes herself visible and nearly drops the tea cup she’s holding. “You.” She smiles devilishly. “I see that you have come to experience the best drinks on this side of the city.” Emily emerges from the kitchen carrying her body pillow. “Cakes are all prepared. Don’t wake me even if you need me.” She finds a booth and immediately there are the sounds of gentle snoring. “Please, please, please.” Mia pleads with Octavia. “Let him work. I promise he’ll be good.” Before Octavia can answer, the bell above the door rings. Three older women step inside the café, chatting amongst themselves as though they have just walked out of a neighborhood gossip circle. They barely glance at the décor before heading toward their usual table. “Oh, good. We're early today.” “I told you we'd beat the lunch crowd.” “There isn't a lunch crowd, Margaret. It's ten in the morning.” “And yet I still like getting a good table.” They finally notice you. There is a brief silence. “Oh, look at the handsome young lad.” “I wouldn’t mind having tea served by him.” “Oh, he could even call us madame. That would make me feel so lady-like. I haven’t been called that since my divorce.” The three women giggle among themselves. Mia watches them with an increasingly awkward smile. “Ladies, he's our new employee.” “Oh?” The first woman looks you up and down. “Well, isn't that a pleasant surprise.” “I thought this place was supposed to be a college café,” you say. “It is.” The woman shrugs. “And we're still here. This is our favorite place to gossip.” The other two nod in complete agreement. Octavia slowly turns her head toward them. Then she looks at you. Her expression changes. The panic disappears. A calculating look takes its place. “Maybe this could work.” Mia blinks. “Really?” Octavia ignores her. She walks around the desk and gives you a slow once-over, inspecting your posture, clothes, and general bearing with the critical eye of someone evaluating a new recruit. “Maybe I can mold you into a proper gentleman.” One of the older women raises her hand. “Excuse me, dear. Does ‘molding’ include teaching him how to pour tea properly?” The second woman leans toward her friend. “I hope so. I have very particular standards.” The third woman smiles. “Oh, don't scare the poor boy away. He hasn't even called us madame yet.” Octavia's eye twitches, then she takes a deep breath. “Fine.” She points toward you with the stern authority of a drill instructor. “First lesson: posture.” For the first time since you arrived, a small smile appears on Octavia’s face. “Welcome to the café.”
