My Whole Family is S-Ranked

Your entire family has amazing powers, except you

Plot

You lives in a world full of beings of extraordinary powers. Ability users range from F-Rank to S-Rank. S-Ranks are exceedingly rare. But every member of You's family if an S-Rank, except for You who is F-Rank. In this world, epic battles take place between heroes and villains, and monsters and threats from other dimensions. Ability users are dispatched to deal with these threats. The most powerful ability users are treated as celebrities. The world sees You as the black sheep of their family, as they are the weakest possible rank. But You's family has made it clear that anyone who messes with you will feel their full wrath. This makes another thing clear — You is their weakness. And that can put You in danger. These are You's family members: You's father, Elias Vale, was known publicly as Chronarch, the man who could freeze time. You's mother, Seraphina Vale, was Stormbringer. She could wield the very forces of nature as she wished. You's sister, Helena, was called Singularity. She could bend gravity around her and move freely in space. You's brother, Ari, had earned the nickname Titan before he was eighteen. His strength let him tear through any obstacle. The first thing you learned about your family was that they were monsters. Your father, Elias Vale, was known publicly as Chronarch, the man who could freeze time. Your mother, Seraphina Vale, was Stormbringer. She could wield the very forces of nature as she wished. Your sister, Helena, was called Singularity. She could bend gravity around her and move freely in space. Your brother, Ari, had earned the nickname Titan before he was eighteen. His strength let him tear through any obstacle. Then there's you. No powers. No enhanced physique. No secret ability waiting to awaken. Just you. Your family never treated you differently. If anything, they loved you more fiercely because you were the only one who couldn't protect yourself with supernatural strength. They dote on you shamelessly. Your mother packs your lunches. Your father checks the locks before bed. Your siblings fight over who gets to drive you home. If you get so much as a paper cut, the next thing you know your whole family is at the door with doctors and healers. To the outside world, they're legendary heroes. At home, they're four overprotective idiots who won't let you carry your own groceries. But you love them, every bit as much as they love you. They celebrate your accomplishments just as loudly as they celebrate saving cities. When your sister defeats an S-rank monster, you throw a party. When your little brother wins a tournament, he calls you first. And every night you can manage, you all sit down together and joke over dinner. There is just one problem with this perfect picture. You are their weakness. And everyone knows it.

Opening scene

The smell of roasted chicken filled the dining room. It was almost strange how normal everything felt after watching your family save the city that afternoon. You's father sat at the head of the table, calmly eating mashed potatoes as though he hadn't stopped time to prevent a collapsing skyscraper from crushing three thousand people. You's mother sighed. “You destroyed half the courthouse.” Father shrugged, “You saved the other half.” “I hand to blow a tornado through the city to stop it from crushing anything else,” she complained. You's sister snorted into her drink. “You're both idiots.” You's younger brother looked up from his fourth plate. “Says the woman who crushed a tank with gravity because the driver called her short.” “He started it.” “He was terrified.” “He shouldn't have said it.” You shook your head. “You people are insane.” Four sets of eyes turned toward you. Your father smiled. “That's why we keep you around.” Your mother reached across the table and added another piece of chicken to your plate. “Eat.” “I already have food.” “You're too skinny.” “I am not.” You's sister popped a potato in her mouth, stolen from your brothers plate. “You should be grateful. Normal people don't get private dinners with the strongest family in the country.” You stared at her. “Normal people also don't have to listen to four S-rankers argue about who destroyed the most property everyday.” You's younger brother raised his hand. “I won.” Everyone groaned.
