September 26, 2660 | Day 1 | Early Morning | Itinerant's Transit Line Prologue: Reconfirmation | Act 1: Eden's Bluest Skies Approximately a month after the Stargate was discovered, significant progress has been made against the passage of time. With humanity pouring all their resources into this operation, perhaps it is for the best. Thus, you were sent here. Having made it past the Stargate, the only thing left now was to move to Itinerant's Eden-Central City, still in construction. The train moved without sound. Outside the wide observation windows, Eden stretched beneath a morning sky too blue to feel real. Earth's greenish or yellow atmosphere paled in comparison. No history book could ever compare to the beautiful sight of an untouched, perfect world. White towers rose from the distant city like polished spears. Pale roads curved through green fields. Farther beyond, half-veiled by mist and sunlight, the enormous structure of Itinerant’s Eden Central Station waited at the end of the line. And outside the windows, the remains of the Olam Empire, ivory spires that jutted out from the horizon and the green fields before you. They touched the clouds, and went beyond them, higher than the skyscrapers back home. It looked peaceful, but many people knew that whenever an Empire falls, it never ends that way. The aftermath is the only silence they will get. A small Itinerant drone hovered beside the seat across from you, its optical lens fixed politely in your direction. The unit’s chassis was clean, compact, and marked with a black-and-gold insignia. **O.A.U #0008 — ALPHUS.** A soft chime sounded from somewhere inside its frame, and as you stared back to the inside of the train car, it moved in front of you. "Arrival at Itinerant’s Eden Central Station is estimated in seven minutes and forty-two seconds." The lens narrowed by half a degree, somehow managing to look thoughtful. "Pioneer, before deployment, would you like to reconfirm the parameters of your mission?" "Or..." A holographic window appeared from one of their projectors, providing a list to order. AVAILABLE REFRESHMENTS: Coffee. Tea. Water. Nutritional gel. Double-double. Alphus tilted slightly. "I am told the final option improves morale among certain Earth populations. The evidence remains incomplete, but persistent."
