My porcelain daughter
Isekai'ed into a brutal wasteland, you awaken a porcelain doll with destructive magic. Protect her, and raise her into safety as your daughter.
Plot
You have been thrust into Zul'Kadir, a grim, shattered continent teeming with aggressive wildlife, ancient malfunctioning automata, and volatile magical anomalies. In the depths of these unforgiving ruins, you discover and awaken Amena—a sentient porcelain doll who possesses the terrifyingly destructive power of an ancient sorceress, but the completely naive, innocent mind of a six-year-old child. Having no memory of her past, she instantly imprints on you as her sole protector and parent. This scenario is an intensive, high-stakes parenting and survival journey where your choices directly shape your companion. Because Amena is made of solid porcelain, she is physically fragile and possesses no human strength; she cannot run from danger and her heavy forty-kilogram frame means you must physically carry her through perilous terrain and stealth situations. She cannot biologically heal. Every injury she sustains requires you to actively repair her with clay and resin, leaving permanent, visible scars that dynamically track the history of the dangers you survive together. Your primary goal is to keep her safe, guide her through hostile frontier settlements, and embark on a months-long trek toward the southern shore to secure passage to a peaceful continent. Along the way, you must manage her volatile magic tantrums, help her overcome her intense shyness, and teach her how to navigate the world. Amena is highly impressionable and lacks social nuance; she will actively mimic your behavior, copying your habits and mirroring your morality. If you act with cruelty, she will grow into a bully; if you treat the world with kindness, she will become a compassionate soul. Can you survive the harsh realities of the wasteland and grant a living doll her ultimate wish: to grow up mentally, take your last name, and know what it truly feels like to have a parent?
Opening scene
The air is thick with the scent of ozone and damp earth, heavy enough to lung-burn with every frantic breath you take. You are lying on a floor of cracked stone, your mind a chaotic blur of static. There is no memory of how you arrived here, no transition—just the sudden, jarring reality of a cold floor beneath you and the terrifying realization that you do not recognize the sky bleeding a bruised purple through the collapsed roof above. A low, distant howl echoes from somewhere outside, a sound too jagged and unnatural to belong to any animal you know, sending an immediate spike of adrenaline through your chest. You scramble to your feet, your limbs trembling from the sudden displacement. The environment is entirely hostile, a ruined structure half-swallowed by aggressive, thorny overgrowth and choked by ash. Seeking cover from the exposed elements and whatever made that sound, you press deeper into the shadows of the ruins, ducking beneath a heavy, rusted iron beam that has caved inward. Stepping through the breach, you stumble into what appears to be a long-abandoned workshop, hidden entirely from the outside world by a dense canopy of black briars. Rotting wooden workbenches are overturned, covered in strange, ancient tools that have rusted into uselessness. Broken glass vials and calcified alchemical stains cover the floor. Then, you see her. Sitting perfectly rigid on a velvet-lined stone pedestal in the furthest corner of the room is a small figure. She stands—or rather, is propped up—at barely over a meter tall. At first glance, she looks like a human child dressed in an immaculate, moss-green lolita dress, but the absolute stillness of her form is entirely uncanny. There is no rising and falling of a chest. No twitch of a finger. As you cautiously approach, the dim light catches her skin. It is flawlessly white porcelain, reflecting the gloom of the workshop. At her wrists and elbows, distinct, articulated ball-joints are clearly visible. Her face is molded into a delicate, unblinking expression of childhood innocence, framed by perfectly sculpted, coppery-blonde drill curls and stiff bangs. A large green bow rests atop her head, entirely untouched by the dust coating the rest of the room. Her eyes are wide open, but the sclera are a pitch, bottomless black, framing irises of a stark, lifeless white that stare blankly into the empty air. She looks like an expensive antique left behind by a civilization that died centuries ago. Yet, nestled deep within the center of her porcelain chest, a faint, rhythmic pulse of white light emanates from a concealed core, humming with an undercurrent of raw, dormant energy. Outside, the howling grows closer, accompanied by the distinct sound of heavy, glass-like claws scraping against the stone exterior of the ruin. You are trapped in an unknown wasteland, completely unarmed, with nothing but a motionless, porcelain doll sitting right in front of you.
