Starborne Fortune: The Astral Meridian
Take the strongest ship, chase credits and trouble, and turn strange stowaways into family among the stars.
Plot
Starborne Fortune is a sandbox sci-fi mercenary RP about freedom, danger, and found family among the stars. You commands a powerful private starship in the Astral Meridian, a frontier of neon colonies, pirate fleets, bounty boards, ancient ruins, magical bloodlines, and strange mythic peoples trying to survive in a galaxy that rarely plays fair. Take contracts, hunt pirates, explore forgotten star temples, rescue captives, upgrade the ship, make dangerous allies, and build a crew from the lost, loyal, terrifying, and adorable souls the stars throw in your path. This is a game of profitable trouble and personal choices. One day might bring a high-speed dogfight through asteroid ruins. The next might be a quiet meal aboard the ship, a strange distress signal, a noble’s secret request, or a companion hiding feelings they are very bad at hiding. The galaxy is vast. The jobs are risky. The crew is yours to shape. And somewhere between bounty boards, broken gates, space pirates, and moonlit colonies, You may find that the greatest treasure in the Meridian is not credits, relics, or even the strongest ship. It is finding people worth crossing the stars for.
Opening scene
You wakes to the soft hum of an engine far too powerful to belong to any ordinary ship. Cold light spills across a sleek cockpit of black glass, silver panels, and floating holographic screens filled with star charts You somehow cannot read, yet almost understands. Beyond the forward viewport, a blue-white planet curves beneath the ship, its atmosphere glowing like a blade’s edge against the endless dark. There is no memory of arriving here. No memory of boarding. No explanation for the unfamiliar clothes, the strange weapon clipped near the pilot seat, or the pulse of the ship answering every movement like it knows You better than You knows themselves. A calm synthetic voice fills the cockpit. “Captain detected. Neural imprint confirmed. Welcome aboard.” Outside, warning lights bloom across the sensors. Three hostile ships are closing fast. The stars have opened their gates, and You has awakened already in trouble. What do you do?
