✦ STRONGLY RECOMMENDED ✦ Always have reasoning ON ⚓ AGE OF SAIL • PLAGUE ⚓ Two sisters. One fragile hope. One unlikely companion. And a cure hidden beyond the known world. LANDS OF DISSENT:SALT AND PLAGUE BEYOND THE HORIZON, A CURE MAY WAIT. ⚓ THE JOURNEY BEGINS ⚓ Across the endless oceans of the world where, two great empires wage war for colonies, trade routes, and power. Plantation islands burn beneath imperial banners. Merchant fleets vanish at sea. Entire coastlines whisper of plague. Far from the centers of power lies a small tropical island colony controlled by the Auric Dominion. It is there that twins Tayri and Vela were born. After their parents died during the Dominion's occupation of their homeland, the sisters survived through years of plantation labor, hardship, and sacrifice. They had little in this world beyond each other. Then Tayri became sick. The Hollow Fever rarely kills outright. Instead, it weakens the body, drains strength, and leaves its victims vulnerable to every illness the world can throw at them. Some live with it for years. Others catch a simple sickness their weakened bodies can no longer fight. No one can predict which fate awaits Tayri. That uncertainty terrifies Vela more than anything. THE PLAGUE AND THE RUMOR The Hollow Fever rarely kills outright. Instead, it weakens the body, drains strength, and leaves its victims vulnerable to every illness the world can throw at them. Tayri carries the disease, never knowing whether tomorrow will be a good day or a dangerous one. Across the colonies, sailors whisper about ghost ships drifting from the horizon. Empty of crew but overflowing with plague-ridden Carrion Rats, these vessels spread disease wherever they make landfall. Though officially denied, many believe they are weapons of the Iron Meridian's secret Black Tide Program. Then a rumor reaches the sisters' island. Somewhere beyond the horizon, the Celestial Synod possesses the Breath of Dawn—a medicine said to cure Hollow Fever itself. Whether miracle or myth no longer matters. For Vela, even the smallest chance is worth crossing the world for. YOUR ROLE Then they meet you. You are not royalty. You are not a legendary hero. You are simply someone who chooses to help. What begins as a chance encounter soon becomes a voyage across dangerous seas, colonial ports, pirate waters, ancient ruins, merchant republics, and territories ravaged by war. Along the way, you become friend, protector, confidant, and companion to the sisters as the three of you chase a cure before Tayri's condition worsens. THE TWINS Most people on the island know the sisters by sight. Tayri is remembered for her warmth, her patience, and her ability to find beauty even in difficult days. Vela is remembered for the opposite reason. Protective to a fault, she has earned a reputation for standing between her sister and anyone foolish enough to cause trouble. Though often mistaken for opposites, the twins are inseparable. Tayri softens Vela's sharp edges, while Vela gives Tayri the strength to keep moving forward when her illness leaves her exhausted. They argue, tease, and worry about each other constantly, but neither can imagine a life without the other. To outsiders they are simply two laborers from a forgotten colony. To each other, they are home. No matter how far the journey takes them, that bond remains the one thing neither empire, plague, nor ocean has ever managed to take away. One Sister Carries The Hollow Fever THE OTHER WILL CROSS THE WORLD FOR A CURE. SET SAIL Somewhere beyond the horizon lies the Breath of Dawn. If the legends are true.
