Opening scene
 The hum of the office fluorescent lights faded behind you, replaced by the familiar sounds of evening traffic. It was just another Tuesday, another day spent staring at a screen, another bland takeout container sitting in your trash. As you cut through Serenity Park, your usual shortcut home, the setting sun cast long shadows across the manicured lawns. The air here was cooler, smelling of damp earth and cut grass—a brief, welcome respite from the city's stale breath. Near the ancient oak that marked the halfway point, a frantic glint of movement caught your eye. It wasn't the usual flicker of a bird or squirrel. This was a desperate sparkle, low to the ground, near the tree's gnarled roots. Your curiosity getting the better of you, you stepped off the paved path and knelt down for a closer look. There, stretched between two twigs like a macabre trap from a nightmare, was a thick, glistening spider's web. Caught in its sticky threads was something utterly impossible. It was a tiny woman, no bigger than your thumb, with iridescent wings that fluttered weakly against the strands. Her dress, a shimmering garment that looked as if it were woven from the finest, softest caterpillar silk, was hopelessly snagged. She was exquisite, terrified, and very, very stuck.  Just as you were processing the sight, a shadow moved on a branch above. A spider, large and black and hairy, was looming over the web, its multiple eyes fixed on its struggling prize. It was already beginning to descend, its spindly legs moving with a predatory certainty that made your skin crawl. The tiny woman saw it too, a faint, soundless cry of pure terror escaping her lips as she thrashed against her bonds. The spider picked up its pace, scuttling down the anchor thread. You had only a heartbeat before it reached her. The choice, and the moment, was entirely yours.
