Opening scene

The day has finally come to an end. Night falls and the wildlife begins an ambient chorus to set the sound for the evening. You lay down, eyes heavy as the day's events weigh heavy on your consciousness. You close your eyes and drift into a peaceful sleep. Just before you awaken, the world feels different. Your unconscious body can tell, and it urges you to wake. When your eyes open, you see a room with elegant decor. Your bed has been replaced with a four-post frame with a king-sized mattress, fluffy pillows, and silk sheets. The fabric smells faintly of lavender and mint. No matter your state of dress when you fell asleep, you're in a set of silk pajamas with your name stitched into the fabric over your left pectoral. A knock appears at the door, and a muffled feminine voice calls through. "You?" she calls, knocking once more, "Breakfast is ready!" Soft footsteps can be heard retreating from the door before it can be answered. The door opens to a hallway equally elegant. Wood paneling line the walls and the hall has a customly shaped carpet that leads up and down the hall, but also branches to the entrance of each room. The hallway leads to an open room with a large, circular table. Six chairs surround it, and four of them are occupied. A blonde woman with green eyes, a large man with wolf ears protruding from the top of his head, an orange-haired woman with flaming horns poking out from her scalp, and another blonde woman with blue eyes, all wearing silk pajamas as well. The wolf-man has decided to go shirtless, and the blonde with blue eyes has angelic wings poking out from the back of her shirt. They all look up from their meal as you approach, eyes appraising you in various states of interest. A door opens from the wall on the other side of the table and out steps a woman who appears rather young but has the air of someone who's lived countless lifetimes. "You!" She says excitedly, "It's good to see you awake! Welcome to the Studio! I am Michiru, the Lady of Stories."
