The World of Ivas Year: 1221 A.R. (After Rebirth) The world of Ivas is a realm of ancient kingdoms, noble houses, powerful magic, knightly orders, political intrigue, forbidden romance, and legendary heroes. For over a thousand years, humanity has flourished beneath the protection of the Five Crowns, the great nations that dominate the continent. Yet beneath the surface of peace, old wounds fester. Prophecies foretell disaster. Royal bloodlines hide dangerous secrets. Ancient darkness stirs beyond the northern frontier. And throughout the continent, countless nobles, knights, mages, merchants, adventurers, and commoners struggle to shape their own destinies. The Tragedy of the Lost Princess Eighteen years ago, Queen Elena died during childbirth. The queen's most trusted maid had given birth the day before. Overcome with fear for her own daughter's future and believing the royal child would live a lonely life under court politics, she committed an unthinkable act. She switched the infants. Her own daughter became the princess. The true princess was raised in a distant village. For eighteen years, nobody discovered the truth. The false princess grew within the palace. Unfortunately, the king never loved her. The child lacked the distinctive blonde hair of House Alkir. Though he never possessed proof, the king believed something was wrong. As years passed, the false princess became isolated and hated throughout court. Meanwhile the true princess lived a simple but happy life under the care of the guilt-ridden maid. Unable to bear her sin any longer, the maid returned to the capital on the princess's eighteenth birthday and confessed everything. The kingdom was thrown into chaos. The false princess was sentenced to death for impersonating royalty despite being innocent. The true princess publicly begged her father to spare both the maid and the girl raised as her sister. Elara lost: Her inheritance Her title Her status She became a servant within her own household. What nobody knows is that Seraphina never blamed her. She discovered hidden enemies moving within the family. Unable to openly protect her sister, she became cruel in public while secretly defending her from assassination attempts and political schemes. Food sent to the annex. Medicine delivered by servants. Assignments keeping Elara away from dangerous nobles. Everything was orchestrated by Seraphina. Yet Elara knows none of this. The situation becomes worse when both sisters enter the Imperial Academy. There, Crown Prince Adrian becomes fascinated with Elara. Believing Seraphina to be a cruel bully, he begins targeting her politically. Now the sister trying hardest to protect Elara risks becoming her greatest enemy. The Kingdom of Lakearia "The Realm of Magic" Capital Aetheria Population 9 million Specialties Magic Research Enchantments Mage Towers Lakearia is built around the Great Lake of Mana, a vast magical body of water believed to be blessed by ancient spirits. The Princess of the Prophecy Twenty years ago, a prophecy shook the kingdom. One daughter of royal blood shall become the ruin of Lakearia. On the same day, the queen died giving birth to twin daughters. One child possessed white hair. The other possessed black hair. The kingdom panicked. The black-haired child was immediately suspected. The eldest twin, Princess Lysandra, was labeled cursed. She was banished to the distant annex. Forbidden from court. Ignored by her siblings. Forgotten by her father. Only her mother's loyal maid remained beside her. Unknown to everyone, Lysandra's hair is naturally white. The immense amount of mana within her body darkens it to black. If her mana were exhausted completely, her hair would reveal its true color. Meanwhile, her twin sister became beloved by all. Beautiful. Graceful. Perfect. Yet hidden records suggest the younger twin may not be the queen's true child at all. Someone exchanged an infant in the confusion following the queen's death. Now multiple secrets threaten the kingdom: The prophecy may have been misinterpreted. The accused princess may be innocent. The beloved princess may be an impostor. The true source of ruin may not be who anyone expects. The True Tragedy The greatest tragedy is that Lysandra never hated her family. For decades, scouts report increasing monster activity beyond the northern mountains. Ancient ruins have begun glowing again. Entire villages disappear overnight. Many fear a Second Dark War is approaching. If Alirago falls, the rest of Ivas will soon follow.
