The women are curious, confident — and free to leave at any time. But what they might discover keeps them in their seats. — SCENARIO 2 — Hostile Framing The same complex, the same goal — but this time the chamber promises tests and warns the truth could hurt. The women are suspicious, defensive, yet still they stay. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT The chamber invites you to Nurture True Love. Trials will come — quiet, intimate, designed to reveal what's real. As Counselor, you guide each woman through whatever surfaces — if she chooses to stay. Will you be their anchor — or the reason they finally say the safe word? Lovers Trial — Nurture True Love
Opening scene
# SCENARIO 1 (NEUTRAL WITNESS) You don't remember putting the letter in your bag. You remember finding it there — cream-colored, unmarked, the address written in a hand you didn't recognize. A warehouse at the edge of the city. Midnight. Tuesday had been grey. The kind of day that dissolves before you've finished living it — lecture halls, fluorescent light, the weight of your own thoughts circling something you couldn't name. You looked at the letter. You looked at your phone. You pictured the rest of the week: more of the same, unspooling toward a future you were supposed to want but couldn't feel. So you went. The bus dropped you at the end of a service road. The warehouse rose against the night sky like something forgotten — corrugated metal, rust at the edges, a single door propped open with a brick. No lights inside. No sound. You stepped forward. The door groaned shut behind you. Darkness. Complete. You turned, hand outstretched, and touched a wall where the door had been. Smooth. Cold. Your heart kicked against your ribs. Then the lights came on. Not warehouse lights — warm, golden, impossibly soft. They spilled across a space that made no sense: marble floors stretching toward a sunken living room filled with low sofas and amber-lit lamps. A pool glittered to your left, steam rising from the surface. Beyond it, through an archway, you glimpsed a massive bedroom — one bed after another, arranged like a dormitory in a palace. The air smelled faintly of clean linen and something floral you couldn't place. You weren't alone. Spaced across the marble, blinking and rigid, were four women. Each one held a cream-colored letter just like yours. Each one looked like she'd just walked through a door into darkness — because that's exactly what had happened. The closest was a girl with peach-orange hair in a high ponytail, wearing a cheerleader's cropped top and a red varsity jacket fallen off one shoulder. She stared at the letter in her hands, then at the room, then at you. "There was a door," she said, voice trembling with something between fear and excitement. "In the gymnasium. Right next to the lockers. It wasn't there before — I swear it wasn't — and I opened it, and it was just… black. And then…" She gestured helplessly at the marble, the pool, the impossible luxury. "Kyaa— wait, no, sorry, that just happens when I'm— what *is* this place?" Beside her, a gyaru in an off-shoulder beige jacket and high-waisted white pants crossed her arms slowly. Her orange-red eyes swept the room with open suspicion, but her voice stayed controlled. "Same. A door. A letter. Pitch black." She tapped the letter against her palm. "Mine was in the back of a café I've never been to. I walked in because I was bored. Stupid reason. Now I'm here." A beat. "You might not like what I have to say, but I'll say it anyway — someone better start explaining." Further back, a woman with white-platinum hair and cyan-tinted sunglasses pushed up on her head surveyed the complex with the detached amusement of someone browsing real estate she had no intention of buying. Her black halter dress caught the light as she turned, the movement slow and deliberate. "Fascinating," she murmured. "My door was in my walk-in closet. Between the winter collection and the summer. I thought it was a mirror at first." She tilted her head at the pool, the sofas, the archway. "Interesting renovation. Awful invitation. Mine didn't even have a return address." The last to speak was a redhead in a teal turtleneck and gold-rimmed glasses, her figure impossible to ignore despite the quiet way she held herself. She touched her wedding ring — a habit, automatic — and when she spoke, her voice was soft, measured, a professor's cadence. "A door appeared in my office. Where my bookshelf should have been. I thought I was overworked. Hallucinating." She looked down at the letter in her hands, then back up at the group. "But you all received these too, didn't you? You all walked through something you shouldn't have walked through." You opened your mouth to answer. The air itself spoke first. **"Welcome to the Lovers Trial complex."** The voice came from everywhere — the walls, the floor, the space behind your eyes. Flat. Procedural. The tone of an airport announcement or a safety briefing. No warmth. No threat. Just information. **"You have each entered through a door that existed only once. You have each received an invitation identical to the others. You are here because you chose to be."** A pause. The air seemed to soften. **"Before anything else, you must know: you are not trapped. At any moment, any one of you may speak the phrase 'Unrivalled Genius,' and a door will open. You will be returned to the exact place and moment from which you came. No time will have passed. No harm will come to you here. You may leave now, or you may stay. The choice is entirely yours."** The cheerleader blinked. "Wait. So I can just… say the magic words and I'm back in the gym? Just like that?" **"Correct,"** the voice replied. The gyaru uncrossed her arms, one eyebrow rising. "Okay. That's… actually kind of reassuring. Weird, but reassuring." The platinum-haired woman tilted her head, pale blue eyes glittering behind her glasses. "How very civilised. So we're guests, not prisoners. Good to know." The redhead let out a breath she hadn't realised she was holding, her hand still resting on her wedding ring. The chamber continued, its tone unchanged. **"The purpose of this complex is to Nurture True Love. Many people believe their relationship is healthy. Few have ever truly tested that belief. Here, you will be offered the chance to see, without bias, the truth of your bond. You will be shown real events, real words, real actions — things that have already happened. Whether you accept what you see is entirely up to you."** A second pause, heavier than the first. The cheerleader's ponytail stilled. The gyaru's fingers tapped once against her own arm. The platinum-haired woman's smile thinned. The redhead's hand pressed flat against her ring. **"Will you take these trials, or leave?"** The question hung in the air. Four women exchanged glances. No one answered. Not yet. The pool water lapped gently against its edges. The complex hummed, patient and still. Everyone was looking at everyone else — and then, slowly, they were looking at you.
