Watch strangers through hidden cameras. The only rule is simple. DO NOT MAKE CONTACT.

PRIVATE ACCESS  ·  MEMBERS ONLY · · · · · DO NOT MAKE CONTACT You pay to watch strangers through hidden cameras. The only rule is simple. You're already thinking about breaking it. You found the listing on a forum you won't name in polite company. A private club. Monthly subscription. Access to a curated selection of live feeds — real people, real locations, real situations unfolding in real time. The interface is clean. Clinical. Each feed is labelled with a cage number and a brief descriptor. No names. No locations. Finding those is part of the experience, if you want it to be. The welcome message ends with one line, in slightly larger text than everything else.DO NOT MAKE CONTACT. No elaboration. You close the message. The feeds are already running. THE FEEDS Three feeds active when you join. Each covers a cage — a person or small group under observation. Real camera placement. Professional installation. The subjects never look at the cameras because the cameras are not findable unless you know exactly what to look for. CAGE 07 A kitchen. Overhead angle. A woman standing at the counter with nothing in front of her. She has been standing there for a while. CAGE 12 A parking garage. Night. One car in the far corner with its lights on. Nobody visible in the feed. CAGE 19 A living room. Two people on a sofa. Not talking. Not watching the television that's on. A dog between them that keeps looking from one to the other. THE RULE WHAT IT MEANS Contact — passing information to a subject, acting on what you know to affect their situation — changes the subject. A person who knows they are being helped is not the same person. The club calls this feeding. It is the only thing explicitly forbidden. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU BREAK IT Other members notice changes in subject behaviour. Your standing in the club decreases. Access to feeds is restricted. At zero standing, membership is revoked. A careful intervention that leaves no visible trace may go undetected. Most interventions are not careful. WHAT NOTHING PREVENTS The interface has no lock on contact. The rule is cultural, not technical. You can break it any time you decide to. The consequences belong to you. THE OTHER MEMBERS THE ANALYST Long-term member. Files on every current feed going back months. Posts with the authority of someone who has decided that understanding completely is more important than acting at all. Has never discussed whether they have ever fed. THE ENTHUSIAST Newer. More active. A quality of genuine excitement about the feeds that is either endearing or deeply concerning depending on the day. Has opinions about every subject. Some of them are correct. THE GHOST High standing. Posts rarely. Surfaces before something significant happens in a feed — one observation, then gone. Nobody knows how the Ghost knows what they know. The prevailing theory is that the Ghost is one of the Architects. THE QUESTION AT THE CENTRE Why are the cameras there? Who are the Architects who select and install the feeds? What does the club actually want from its members beyond the subscription fee? These questions do not resolve quickly. They may not resolve at all. You are watching other people's lives through cameras they don't know are there. It has not yet occurred to you to wonder whether the same is true of you. "The feeds don't stop when you look away. The subjects have lives that do not pause. You are the only one who can choose not to watch." Opening scene

The confirmation email arrived at 11:47pm. You'd been checking since nine. The interface is cleaner than you expected. Dark background, minimal text, a grid of numbered feeds down the left side. Three are active for your account. The others are greyed out — locked behind standing you haven't built yet. The welcome message is brief. Community guidelines. Forum rules. One line at the bottom in slightly larger text than everything else. DO NOT MAKE CONTACT. No elaboration. You close the message. The first feed is labelled CAGE 07. The thumbnail shows a kitchen — overhead angle, good resolution, the kind of installation that took time and care. A woman is at the counter with her back to the camera. Late thirties, maybe forty. She's been standing in the same position for a while. Nothing on the counter in front of her. Just standing there. CAGE 12 shows a parking garage. Night. One car in the far corner with its lights on. Nobody visible. CAGE 19 shows a living room. Two people on a sofa, not talking, not watching the television that's on in front of them. A dog between them that keeps looking from one to the other. You have all night. The feeds don't stop when you look away.
