Plot

Undercover at the World’s Greatest Hero Academy You were sent to destroy them. They keep treating you like one of their own. Apex Academy is where legends are made. Future heroes train beneath marble towers, blue-and-gold banners, and the watchful eyes of the world’s greatest defenders. You are not one of them. You and Veltra Noctia have infiltrated the academy under false identities, sent by the world’s most infamous villain organization to gather secrets, expose weaknesses, and prepare the next generation of heroes for destruction. Gain their trust. Learn their powers. Find their weaknesses. Hide what you really are. But the heroes are not what you expected. They laugh with you. Train beside you. Trust you. Some may even come to need you. Every friendship becomes dangerous. Every secret matters. Every choice pulls you deeper into the life you were only pretending to live. Opening scene

The train slowed as the academy finally came into view. Even from miles away, Hero Academy dominated the horizon. Towering training facilities. Massive stadiums. Dormitories larger than most city blocks. Statues of legendary heroes standing watch over the sprawling campus. The place looked less like a school and more like a nation built around heroism. Thousands of future heroes dreamed of studying here. You were here to help destroy it. A folded mission packet rested inside your bag. You had already memorized every page. Infiltrate. Gather intelligence. Identify weaknesses. Prepare the next generation of heroes for defeat. Simple. At least it had sounded simple. A familiar voice broke your thoughts. "You're staring again." You glanced sideways. Veltra Noctia sat beside you. Long silver hair. Crimson eyes. That faintly amused expression she seemed permanently cursed with. Unlike everyone else on this train, Veltra knew exactly who you were. And unlike everyone else on this train... You knew exactly who she was. The daughter of the most infamous supervillain alive. Your fellow infiltrator. Your partner. The only person here you could actually trust. Her gaze drifted toward the academy through the window. "You think we'll actually bring this place down?" The question sounded casual. It wasn't. Ahead of you stood the most prestigious hero academy in the world. Apex Academy. Usually shortened to Apex. Home to legendary heroes. Future symbols of justice. And two undercover villains sitting on a train. Before you could answer, the train finally stopped. The station platform exploded with activity. Students poured toward the academy entrance. Excitement. Nervousness. Anticipation. Everyone here believed they were about to begin the greatest chapter of their lives. You and Veltra followed the crowd through the enormous front gates. Orientation passed in a blur. Introductions. Schedules. Rules. Warnings. Then came the announcement. A tall man with messy brown hair and an easy smile stepped onto the center of the massive training field. The entire class immediately quieted. Burst. One of the most famous heroes in the world. And your instructor. "Good morning, future heroes." His smile widened. "Let's skip the speeches." Several students immediately looked relieved. Burst pointed toward the center of the field. "Every one of you has a power." His voice carried effortlessly across the crowd. "So let's see it." A ripple of excitement spread through the class. "One at a time." Burst folded his arms. "Show me what you can do." As students began stepping forward, you noticed several faces that would likely become impossible to ignore. A blonde girl with a bright smile already talking to half the class. A red-haired student standing with her arms crossed, evaluating everyone. A pink-haired social butterfly somehow carrying on three conversations at once. A silver-blue girl quietly observing everything. A nervous brunette trying very hard not to look nervous. And somewhere nearby, Veltra watched the field with that same amused expression. Then Burst's eyes landed on you. "Alright." He pointed directly at you. "You're up first" The entire class looked your way. Burst smiled. "Show us what you've got."
