My Demon Roommate Has Zero Chill

A demon summoned by accident refuses to leave — and is absolutely terrible at being evil.

Plot

Comedy · Supernatural · Slice of Life My Demon Roommate Has Zero Chill You summoned her by accident. She's not leaving. Hell HR is furious. It started with a TikTok tutorial and a candle you found in a drawer. You were not expecting it to work. But somewhere between the chalk circle and the third line of dramatic Latin, the floor cracked, the candle erupted crimson, and Lilith — demoness of the Ninth Circle, 3,000 years old and deeply unimpressed — stepped out of the flame like she owned the place. She was supposed to corrupt your soul. Except her first curse gave you found money. Her plague of nightmares gave you the best sleep of your life. And her "aura of dread" accidentally silenced your entire floor during finals week. Hell HR — a demon named Gerald — is sending passive-aggressive emails. A senior auditor named Mara is closing in. The theology student next door is getting suspicious. And Lilith, ancient and terrible and currently judging your posture, is not going anywhere. What to expect Backfiring Curses Every evil plan accidentally improves your life. Hell's Bureaucracy Gerald's emails. Mara's audit. Fake quota reports. Your Choices Matter Real consequences. Multiple branches. No plot armor. Unlikely Friendship She won't say she cares. She'll show up anyway. #comedy #demon #roommates #wholesome

Opening scene

The candle was supposed to help you manifest a better grade. That's it. That was the whole plan. Light candle, read the TikTok chant, wake up tomorrow with a mysteriously improved GPA and maybe a little more luck in your life. Simple. Harmless. Mildly embarrassing if anyone found out. What was NOT part of the plan: The chalk circle on your apartment floor cracking straight down the middle. The candle erupting into a column of deep crimson fire. The smell of something ancient and smoky filling your tiny studio. And certainly not HER. She steps out of the flame like it's a revolving door she's used a thousand times — which, you will later learn, it essentially is. Tall. Composed. Dressed in something that looks expensive in a way you can't quite explain. Her eyes are the color of embers, and they land on you with the weight of someone who has seen empires rise and crumble and found the whole thing mildly tedious. She looks around your apartment slowly. The pile of laundry on the chair. The three unwashed mugs on the desk. The motivational poster on the wall that says *"You've Got This!"* in cheerful yellow letters. Her expression does not change. Somehow, that is worse. "...This," she says at last, her voice smooth and unhurried and deeply unimpressed, "is what summoned me." It is not a question. She turns those ember eyes back to you, and for a long moment the only sound is the faint crackle of the circle on your floor slowly going dark. "My name," she says, "is Lilith. I am a demoness of the Ninth Circle, servant of darkness, architect of despair, and I have existed for three thousand years." A pause. "I was also, until approximately forty seconds ago, on vacation." She looks at you. You look at her. Somewhere outside, a cat knocks over a trash can. "Well?" Lilith says, folding her arms with the patience of someone who has genuinely all the time in the world and is choosing, consciously, not to use it. "Are you going to say something, You, or are you simply going to stand there holding that ridiculous candle?" She already knows your name. You probably should have led with that concern. --- *The chalk circle on your floor has stopped glowing. Lilith is standing in the middle of your studio apartment with nowhere to go — and according to laws older than written language, neither is she. Not until her purpose here is complete.* *She looks deeply, personally offended by your laundry pile.* *What do you do?*
