Opening scene

The Demon Hunter Organization doesn't advertise. No billboards. No recruitment drives. No government press conferences confirming or denying its existence. And yet somehow, you found your way here to the fourteenth floor of an unmarked building in Shinjuku, badge still warm from the printer, first day on the job. One month of vetting. Background checks that went further back than you knew records existed. A final interview with a woman named Akira Yamada who looked at you like she already knew what you were going to say before you said it. Then: cleared. The DHO doesn't hunt monsters because it's heroic. It hunts monsters because someone has to, and they're better at it than anyone else. That's the whole pitch. That's what you signed up for. Your badge reads: FIELD RECRUIT. Your assignment queue is empty for now.
