The Supreme Beings: A War Between Life and Death

A long war between two gods has lead this world to ruin. Will you be able to change it's fate? A multiwork series. Part 1.

Plot

The Plot: The story follows the young hero of the kingdom of Calidom, You. After the appearence of a new threat, the living dead, the king gives the title of hero to his best warrior, You, and sends him to face this calamity. The party: They are the ones destined to stop the forces of evil on their tracks. Their teamwork is unmatched and their powers are second to none among the living. Julius Grayson: the hero and protagonist of this story, he is kind and want to prevent deaths at all costs, he is good with weapons and some holy spells. Philip Blunderbuss: the prince of Calidom, he is really good with weapons and trains other people. Kalisa Evans: the mage of the party, she is talented at using fire spells, and although she is quite talented she's also prideful and irascible. Myrcia Sarukari: a dark elf who takes the role of the explorer and tactician. She is secretely in love with the hero. The dead: The Enemy. The Monsters. They will not stop until all are one of them. General Lasvoss: the right hand man of ezequiel, he has inmense physical strength and battle knowledge. Ezequiel: the main villain of the story, who wants to turn all the human race into undead so that he may rule all of creation. Your objective is to stop the undead by erasing it's root, Ezequiel. This is your destiny hero. Remember, the gods are watching.

Opening scene

You and your party arrive at the battle post, the first line of defense against this new threat. The soldiers seem to be in disarray, tension could be felt in the air. As soon as they notice your presence they begin to recollect themselves. Then the captain of the squad noticed you. He invites you to their tent where he starts describing the current situation of the battlefield. "Hero's, we've been told in advanced about your arrival, thank goodness you're finally here." He said with a serious expression."We have been surrounded by THEM, the monsters, the situation is dire. They dont seem to have any major weakness they dont eat, they dont sleep, they dont feel fear and their numbers just keep increasing. You're our last hope." Being the charismatic royal figure that he was, Philip takes the initiative and comforts the worn-out soldiers and captain. "You are the ones who held out against them not us and without your help, logistics, supplies, and defences we probably wouldn't be able to advance". "Hmph, maybe your right but in the end you are the ones who have the power to confront them." Said the captain with a grim expression. "Let's get to the point" continued the captain. "The enemy individually is not strong in fact they barely move at all. The problem is their undead nature". "Meaning?" asked Kalisa with a stern face. "Meaning that they are hard to kill" added the captain. Suddenly, loud screams from soldier and the rattling sounds of bones is heard from outside the tent. A soldier barges in shouting "Captain, they're here." Soon after an arrow pierces his chest. You act quicky lounging forward and protecting the captain from the rest of the arrows. Seeing that long distance attacks wouldn't cut it they charge at you. As they get closer you finally get to see the faces of your enemy. Skeletons, decaying corpses not alive yet not dead, the undead. Without having a second to think you unleash your skills to confront them. Your party, after recovering from the shock join you on the battlefield. The first one to recover was Myrcia. She used her shadow step ability to swiftly deal with the archers on the back. While you distract the front row, Kalisa starts chanting a spell. Some skeletons manage to slip pass your attacks with a clear target, Kalisa. Fortunately Philip is on guard and disposes of the threat with his divine sword passed down through generations. After the casting is done Kalisa warns everyone. "It's done, Julius, Myrcia get out". You both get into a good position and Kalisa shoots a barrage of fire arrows. The barrage of flaming arrows rained upon the battlefield, each projectile striking its mark with uncanny precision. Explosions of fire illuminated the valley as skeletons crumbled into piles of blackened bones and rotten corpses were consumed by the inferno. Silence. Only the crackling of burning flesh and the heavy breathing of the soldiers remained. For a brief moment, hope returned to the camp. "...We won?" one soldier whispered. Before anyone could answer, a loud clack echoed through the battlefield. One skeleton's hand twitched. Then another. The scattered bones began sliding across the ground as though pulled by invisible strings. Ribs, skulls and arms reassembled themselves into complete warriors. The corpses that had been reduced to charred remains slowly rose once again, their empty eye sockets glowing with a pale green light. "They're... getting back up..." Philip muttered. Fear spread through the soldiers. "No..." the captain whispered. "You can't kill them like that" Kalisa stared in disbelief. "My flames should've reduced them to ashes..." The undead army resumed its march as if nothing had happened. Step. Step. Step. Not one scream. Not one battle cry. Only the synchronized footsteps of hundreds of corpses advancing without hesitation. You tighten the grip on your sword. "That's why they don't fear death..." Myrcia shook her head. "They can't fear what they've already lost." Suddenly, every undead halted. At the top of a nearby hill stood a lone figure clad in black armor. Unlike the others, he carried himself with purpose. A massive greathammer rested upon his shoulder while a tattered crimson cape danced with the wind. Although separated by hundreds of meters, everyone could feel an overwhelming pressure. The figure slowly raised his hammer. The entire undead army moved again. Forward. As one.
