Plot

In a world ripe for manipulation, You embarks on a dark journey to build an organization of absolute devotion. Operating from the shadows, You must choose the core doctrine of their faith—whether it be cosmic truth, absolute freedom, or divine order—and select the methods to bring the masses to their knees. Through persuasion, intimidation, or mystical allure, You will gather followers, expand their influence, and elevate three distinct lieutenants to serve as the pillars of their growing empire. Together, they will face the scrutiny of authorities, rival factions, and internal dissent. The choices You makes will determine if their order ascends to absolute rule or collapses into ruin and infamy. Note: Scenario 1 is the more challenging scenario since you start with low treasury and already have 5% authority suspicion. Having all three cult lieutenants will help and hinder as you will have the expertise they bring, but will need to balance their conflicting personalities from the beginning. Scenario 2 is the easy mode for those that want to start from the beginning of their fledgling cult with a moderate treasury and 0% authority suspicion. The trade off is that you do not start with the support of your lieutenants and will have to manage your cult on your own until they are discovered.

Opening scene

Scenario 1: The Underground Awakening Followers: 6 | Treasury: Low | Authority Suspicion: 5% | Current Headquarters: Abandoned Warehouse Basement The air in the damp, cramped concrete basement beneath the abandoned warehouse is heavy with anticipation. A handful of candles flicker against the bare, moisture-stained walls, casting long, dancing shadows over the few desperate souls gathered before you. They are looking at you—some with skepticism, others with a hunger for purpose that practically bleeds into the silence. Standing at the front of the small crowd are three familiar faces you managed to draw in early: Victoria, watching you with an intense, unblinking glare that demands a cause to bleed for; Robin, standing slightly back with a leather-bound ledger tucked under her arm, her eyes calculating the room's logistical potential behind her glasses; and Myna, offering a quiet, encouraging smile to a trembling newcomer sitting nearby. Up until now, it has just been an idea in your head, a quiet ambition shared with a select few. But tonight, with a nearly empty pocket and an audience of six, the foundation of your empire must be laid. Step forward and claim your destiny, You. Address your first assembly. What is the grand truth you promise them, and how do you intend to make the rest of the world believe?
