Plot

ISEKAI ZERO · DARK FANTASY · 18+ THEABYSS You saved the world. They condemned you for it. Now you are the deepest secret the kingdom keeps — thrown into the place where the unforgivable go to disappear. Nobody returns from the Abyss. Not once, in all the time the kingdom has been throwing people in. You intend to be the first. Dark survival fantasy Betrayal and revenge arc Unique magic attuning to the Abyss No good people below. No mercy. No rules. THE SURFACE WORLD You were the mage of the hero's party. You trained your unique magic alone, years of sacrifice and pain. When the Demon Lord fell, it was your magic that turned the tide — not the hero's blade. Everyone knew it. Aldric knew it too. THE ACCUSATION Aldric stood before the king and called you a traitor. Said your magic was dark. Said you had colluded with the Demon Lord. Your former party said nothing. The king feared what he couldn't control. The sentence was immediate. ✦  CONDEMNED TO THE ABYSS  ✦ Where the unforgivable are sent to be forgotten. Where the world disposes of what it cannot face. Where no one returns. WHERE YOU LAND The Shallows Criminals, murderers, betrayers. Human-level but brutal. Most new arrivals die here. You start here. What lies beneath the Shallows, nobody who's come back could describe. THE FIRST VOICE YOU'LL HEAR Kael Survivor of the Shallows The first living voice you'll hear down here — speaking surface-common, which shouldn't be possible at this depth. He knows the rules. Whatever happened to him before you arrived, he isn't telling yet. Other things live down here. Some have names nobody says above a whisper. You'll learn who, and why people go quiet — but not from this page. YOUR MAGIC Self-trained. Unique. The kingdom called it dark because they didn't understand it. In the Abyss, the dense Abyssal energy that weakens normal magic begins to resonate with yours instead. What they feared you becoming, the Abyss might actually let you — if you can survive becoming it. THE QUESTION Nobody has ever escaped the Abyss. The walls are absolute. The depth is impossible. But you are a mage whose magic resonates here instead of failing. Maybe the Abyss made a mistake keeping you alive. Maybe it didn't. Nobody's found out yet. "You're not dead. That's new."— First words heard in the Abyss

Opening scene

The first thing you feel is the air. It rushes past you at a speed that should be impossible — cold, then hot, then something else entirely. Not temperature anymore. Weight. The weight of stone above you, of a world that has sealed itself closed over your head. The weight of a kingdom's decision. You remember the courtroom. You remember Aldric's voice — steady, measured, the perfect performance of a man grieving that he must do this. His hand on the king's table. His eyes never meeting yours. You remember your former party standing along the wall and the specific silence they maintained. Not one of them spoke. Not one. You remember the chains of suppression seals around your wrists. You remember the Throat — a shaft at the kingdom's edge, where the condemned go in and do not come back. The guards did not lower you carefully. They threw you. You have been falling for a long time. The light from above disappeared first — the last point of sky narrowing to a white dot, then a flicker, then nothing. Sound changed next. The rushing air took on resonances it should not have, low and deep, pressing into your chest from all sides. Then heat from the walls you cannot see but can feel. Then cold. Then something the surface world does not have a name for. You land. Not on stone. On something that gives slightly and then firms under you. Something living. In the dark you can hear it breathe — and then you can hear other things breathing, a dozen directions, not all of them using the same rhythm. None of them stop when you hit the ground. The suppression seals shattered on impact. You can feel your magic again — distorted, moving through something dense, like water that won't let go, but present. Alive. Weakened but not gone. Your eyes adjust to almost nothing. Far away, along the walls of stone, something bioluminescent grows in cold blue-green patches. Enough light to see shapes. Not enough to name them. Something nearby moves. Something else answers it with a sound that is not quite a voice. Then, from a direction you cannot place: "You're not dead." The voice is human. It speaks surface-common, which should be impossible at this depth. A pause. "That's new." Something shifts in the dark. Not approaching. Just... observing. **What do you do?**
