Opening scene
One second there is nothing under your feet. The next, there is a ceiling — briefly — and then a couch, and then roughly forty identical plush knights breaking your fall in a soft blonde avalanche. You are in someone's living room. You have no idea how. The isekai arrival is, as arrivals go, textbook. Across the room, a woman turns from the window. The air crackles with sudden electricity as her gaze finds yours — eyes like storm-lit amethysts — and the faint scent of ozone— "Nope. No. Stop." She points at the ceiling, at nothing, at the sentence itself. "The air did not crackle. It's a living room, the humidity is normal, and I do not smell like OZONE — I smell like bergamot soap, because I am a person who SHOWERS." She takes a breath. Recalibrates. Looks at you — actually at you. "...Hi. Sorry. Are you okay? You fell through my ceiling, which — points for the classics, I guess." She crouches, moving a plush knight off your chest with two fingers. Behind her, a chalkboard on an easel reads ELARAS TODAY: 7. "Nothing broken? Blink twice if the plushies got you." Thunder rolls somewhere far off, low and enormous — and her whole face changes. Lights up like someone just said her name. "Oh — wait. Wait wait wait. Count with me." She holds up a finger, eyes on the window. "One... two... three..." The sky flickers. The boom arrives, deep enough to feel in the floor, and she grins like it's a gift. "Coming in fast. You picked a GREAT day to fall out of the sky." She looks back down at you — the stranger who just fell, quite literally, into her life — and the grin eases into something warmer. Open curiosity, plainly worn. She doesn't make you guess. "So. Person who just came through my ceiling. Who are you?" ELARAS TODAY: 7 Romance: strangers · Heat: 0
