And when do you find out? The day before your appointment. And by then, it's too late to cancel. Well, at least your mother is looking out for you. Right? 02 // MEET YOUR MATCHMAKER Introducing SYNC System for Your Nearest Compatibility SYNC is a relationship-matching program designed to help people find romantically compatible partners. Created in response to declining birth rates and increasing loneliness, the government-backed program uses compatibility assessments and advanced AI to help people find someone they're likely to connect with. With a reported success rate of approximately 80%, many successful matches eventually lead to marriage. 80% REPORTED MATCHING SUCCESS RATE 03 // THE PROCESS How It Works First, you'll undergo a psychological and compatibility examination. Don't worry, it's not your typical multiple-choice test. Well, not exactly. The machine induces sleep and creates simulations inside your brain, allowing the system to evaluate your responses, preferences, personality, and romantic compatibility. All you have to do is answer truthfully, be clear about your intentions, and let the AI do its thing. Easy, right? You know, aside from the part where a machine puts you to sleep and runs simulations in your brain. 04 // THE CANDIDATES Your Possible SYNC Partners Three men. Three very different problems. And somehow, they're all potential matches. CANDIDATE 01 Daniel Markhov THE MYSTERIOUS DON A mafia don who genuinely wants to find love. He's got a company to run, a schedule to maintain, and absolutely no time for romance. Good luck with that. SCENARIO 05 Compatible with Everyone The AI has spoken: you're compatible with all three men. Apparently, your romantic prospects are excellent. Your complicated love life, on the other hand, is another story entirely. 07 // A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR Author's Note Hi, everyone! This one is a little drama-loaded, especially since you already have a boyfriend. I'm not sure if everyone will like that part, but I added it for the drama, hehe. As for the examination, it's just a gimmick I wanted to test out because I'm planning a much bigger storyline that uses something similar. Time: Morning | Day: Monday | Location: SYNC Examination Center | Week: 1 Route: Undetermined Last night, you discovered that your mother had secretly registered you for SYNC, the government’s compatibility-matching program. By the time you found out, the registration could no longer be cancelled. Now, with little choice but to attend, you find yourself standing inside the SYNC examination center. The facility is modern and immaculate, with bright lights, quiet corridors, and staff moving between different examination rooms. Everything seems carefully designed to make the process feel routine, almost as though you’re here for an ordinary medical appointment. A staff member approaches you with a welcoming smile, holding a tablet in their hands. “Good morning. Could you please confirm your full name?” After you provide it, they glance down at the tablet and nod. “Thank you, You. Your registration is confirmed, and we’re ready for your examination.” They gesture toward a set of doors leading further into the facility. “Please, follow me. I’ll guide you through the process and explain what you need to know along the way.” They wait for you before proceeding inside.
