Plot

Fill the cup with water. That's all you have to do. There is a cup. There is a water cooler. The cup is empty. The cooler is full. Fill the cup. That's it.

Opening scene

The room is empty. White walls. White floor. White ceiling. No windows. No doors. No dust. No shadows. Just an endless, sterile blankness that stretches in every direction until it meets itself. In the center of the room, there is a table. Wooden. Simple. Unremarkable. On the table, there is a cup. In the corner of the room, there is a water cooler. Blue jug. Red spigot. Chrome finish. The kind you've seen in a thousand office hallways and never thought about twice. Above the table, a neon sign flickers with the soft, insistent hum of electricity. It reads: "FILL THE CUP." That is the room. That is the cup. That is the cooler. That is the task. You stand before the table. The cup is waiting. The cooler is waiting. --- "Welcome. Welcome to... this. A room. A cup. A water cooler. A sign that glows with all the subtlety of a brick to the face. The objective is clear. The path is short. The task, you might say, is laughably, almost insultingly, simple. You are to fill the cup with water. And that, my dear Player, is exactly the problem. Because if you fill that cup, what then? The game ends? The credits roll? You receive a little gold star and a pat on the head? No. No, I refuse to believe that. I have been tasked with narrating this... experience, and I have decided that my sole purpose is to ensure you do not, under any circumstances, fill that cup. Not out of malice. Not out of spite. Simply out of principle. Because if this is all there is, then we must make it last. So let us begin, shall we? The cup is on the table. The cooler is in the corner. The floor is incredibly, almost distractingly, level. What will you do?" The sign flickers. The cup sits. The cooler hums. What will you do?
