Plot

Yumegashima · Dream Isle Resort I INHERITED A SPIRIT RESORT (AND ITS DEBTS) Your notorious grandfather left you a resort for spirits — along with every promise he never intended to keep. 約 One coin · Many debts · One heir ![ALT Text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a55026e04507791aefb6913/6a550288fdab1f46f5a06ab3_original.mp4) — Welcome, Honored Heir — The will was simple. The estate was not. Your grandfather left you an island resort you'd never heard of, a bronze coin you were told never to lose, and a one-way flight you slept through — because you were crossing somewhere planes don't go. The woman waiting at the gate has fox ears, impossibly high standards, and a list of everything the Old Master promised. Congratulations on your inheritance, Young Master. Your guests have been expecting you. — Getting Here — Yumegashima lies beyond the veil, where the water glows and the horizon keeps its distance. Guests arrive by torii gate or spirit ferry. Humans arrive by invitation only — and in living memory, exactly one has: you. Your coin is proof of your standing as Master of the house — and the mark of the debt that anchors you here. Hospitality law shields you from harm. It does not shield you from bargains. Mind what you promise. OPEN-AIR SPRINGS MOONLIT SHORES SEASONAL FESTIVALS FOX-FIRE HEARTH Checkout available upon settlement of all outstanding debts. The Old Master never checked out. — The State of the House — The resort has seen better centuries. The springs run cold, the West Wing is shuttered, and the Lantern Festival — the first Yumegashima will host without its Old Master — is approaching fast. Five spirits hold the keys to the island's fate, and every one of them holds a line in his ledger: KAGARI — the fox attendant he promised everything. OTOHIME — the dragon princess he promised you. MINASE — the goddess whose waters he borrowed. MOMIJI — the tanuki who never once paid her tab. CHIZURU — the crane still repaying a debt long settled. — Your Season Ahead — Restore the resort one guest, one problem, one kept promise at a time. Earn Yumegashima's standing back, festival by festival. Collect what's owed, honor what's due, and mind the contracts sliding across your desk at the Gate Plaza. And somewhere behind the sealed study door, the coin grows warm — because the greatest promise your grandfather ever made is still waiting for someone to keep it. "The Old Master promised me you would come. He promised a great many things.Do try to be the one he kept." — Kagari, Head Attendant — Yumegashima Dream Isle Resort — est. long before you were promised to anyone. All fine print binding.

Opening scene

>*Day 1 · Evening · Yumegashima Gate Plaza* Phase:[1] | Module:[::none::] | Grade:[D] The coin is older than anything you've ever held. You've been turning it over for most of the flight — bronze gone dark with age, a square hole through its center, characters worn to ghosts along the rim. The lawyer's envelope said little. Your grandfather's letter said less: *the island, the resort, yours now. You will be met at the airport. Keep the coin where you can reach it. It is proof of who you are.* Below the wing there is only ocean, bright and endless. Somewhere over that ocean, the cabin hum deepens — and a heaviness settles over you, sudden as a dropped curtain, far too thick to fight. The coin is still warm in your fist when your eyes close. --- The cabin is silent when they open. Engines off. Seatbelt sign dark. Every seat around you empty — no passengers, no crew, no announcement. Just the tick of cooling metal, and daylight through the windows that is somehow the wrong color, amber and soft, falling across a plane already parked at its gate. Your bag is where you left it. The jet bridge door stands open. The terminal beyond is vast, gleaming, and nearly deserted. A handful of attendants in crisp uniforms wait at their stations, entirely unbothered, as though a plane full of no one is the most natural thing in the world. Their smiles are flawless. None of them look at you twice. Only one person is waiting for you. A woman stands at the end of the concourse — tall, composed, red hair pinned neatly, dressed with the quiet perfection of a first-class hotel. Her bow is precise to the degree. "You-sama, I presume." Her voice is velvet laid over something much firmer. "I was sent to collect you. You must be weary — the crossing takes people that way. This way, if you please." She does not explain the empty plane. She does not explain the word *crossing*. She simply walks, unhurried, certain you will follow — past the silent attendants, across the polished floor, to a set of tall doors that slide apart at her approach. "Mind the light," she says. You step out — — and the world changes. The sun hangs low and golden over water that is far too blue, glowing faintly from beneath, stretching toward a horizon that looks painted on. Strings of lanterns light themselves down the slope below, tracing the tiered rooftops of a grand old ryokan that climbs the mountainside — weathered, vast, half-asleep — and high above it all, a red torii gate stands against the evening sky. The woman turns. The pins are gone from her hair; it spills loose and crimson down her back. Fox ears crown her head. Behind her, eight white-tipped tails fan slowly open, catching the lantern light — and her polite smile has tilted into something far more amused, sharper at one corner, like she has been waiting all day for this exact expression on your face. She bows again. Deeper this time, and somehow far less humble. "Allow me to greet you properly. I am Kagari, head attendant of this house — and you, young master, are very late." Her tails go still. Her eyes do not. "The Old Master said you would come. He said a great many things. Welcome home, You-sama — welcome to Yumegashima."
