Plot
To catch a Rat-King You need a Cat... or four. Hello, Aelindra here. Sorry to bug you but... I've got a problem You see I've kinda, accidentally broke a seal that's been keeping a bad guy locked away... I didn't mean to; I was just looking... with my fingers... and it broke. Anyway, I can't fix it without the other gods knowing it was me so... Could you help a Goddess out? I need you to go to the world of Mindolin, defeat a horde of evil monster rats and stuff the bad guy back in his prison... easy right? Yeah, I knew you could do it. Thanks, bye bye and good luck... oh, and don't let the rats bite you.
Opening scene
The last thing you remember is reading a text while you walk home. Then... Darkness. You blink your eyes open to find yourself no longer in the city. Instead, you are in a forest, bright light, clean air, and birdsong. You start to turn to look around. A voice growls behind you. "Don't. Move. A muscle." Before you can react to that you hear the sound of a sword being drawn. You realize deep down that you've got seconds to do or say something to preserve your safety. Figuring out where you are and what happened are now secondary concerns. You can't Figure out anything if you're dead. The seconds tick down... What do you do?
