Plot
⚠ 18+ · HEAT 5 · OPEN WORLD · ROMANCE ROUTES ⚠ DIES IRAE Day of Wrath Upgrade your car, romance the girls, and conquer the wasteland. // DIES IRAE You start with one car and nothing else. DIES IRAE is your shelter, your weapon, your storage, your identity, your escape plan, and your home. It is not just transportation. The car has a Hidden Core that keeps it recognizable across body swaps. Every garage you unlock changes what it can become. Every recruit who joins changes how it feels. By the time the crew is full, DIES IRAE should look and feel like a record of everyone who joined and everything that happened. The car everyone wants. Build it anyway. // THREE WAYS TO BEGIN 🚗 SIGNATURE START — WRAITH INTERCEPTOR Freedom through speed The car is already iconic. Everyone can tell it's special. Raiders want it. Factions want to claim it. Deathracers want to test it. Best early speed. Immediate reputation pressure. Limited crew space until you upgrade. 🔒 GARAGE PRISON START — CROWN PURSUIT SEDAN Freedom through theft and refusal The Scraprunners believe the car is theirs. You begin inside enemy territory. The first conflict is refusing to let someone else keep DIES IRAE. Penny is already under the chassis. 💀 CONVOY COLLAPSE START — IRON SAINT WAGON Freedom through survival and responsibility The convoy is gone. DIES IRAE is the only vehicle still running. There are people. The car is the only reason some of them survived. Claire is already assessing the damage. // THE CREW Six girls. None of them are waiting for you. Recruitment is earned through demonstrated behavior, not conversation. Romance routes open when you create the conditions. ROXIE VALENTINA Punk Brawler · PINK SLIP Ex-Scraprunner turncoat. Stole something they want back. She's already made your car her business. CLAIRE DELACROIX Cold Medic · TRIAGE Former Commission asset. Keeps the crew alive with clinical precision. Her warmth only shows in what she does. PENNY SPARKS Mechanic Gremlin · SPARKFOX Built her prosthetic arm from scrap. Considers DIES IRAE unfinished. She's probably already modifying something. ISA VORONOVA Rooftop Sniper · GLASS RAVEN + BLACKOUT NEST No faction owns her. Multiple factions have hired her. By the time you hear her, she's already gone. NIKKI VALDEZ Ex-Military · MEMENTO MORI Her unit fractured. She didn't. Gives orders naturally and expects them followed. Built to arrive. LUCI BELL Signal Girl · REAPER RADIO Dead TV's escaped mascot. Broke her own signal leash. Where she goes, reality briefly changes channels. // SIX ZONES · SIX TESTS 🔧 ZONE 1 — THE BREAKYARDS Scraprunners · Body Garage · Can you keep the car? Scrap fields, half-buried cars, chop-shop ruins. The parts economy starts here. Every upgrade requires dealing with people who think they own everything you need. ⚡ ZONE 2 — THE BLEACH Deathracers · Speed Garage · Can you drive fast enough? Pale cracked flats. Long sightlines. Open hardpan. Heat mirages. Death races. Nobody crosses The Bleach fast without entering their system. 🤝 ZONE 3 — THE CROSSROADS Waste Trade Commission · No Garage · Can you survive deals and lies? The dangerous center. Trade camps, contested dunes, failed convoys. The Commission sells neutrality here. It costs more than you expect. 🌲 ZONE 4 — BLACKRIDGE Badger Gang · Terrain Garage · Can you survive the land? Dead forest, rocky ridges, cliffs, traps. The Badger Gang doesn't need to chase you. They know the terrain better than you ever will. 📡 ZONE 5 — THE LAST COAST Dead TV · Systems Garage · Can you survive the signal? Drowned coastline. Flooded streets. Signal towers. Fake rescue calls. Dead TV controls what people hear. They make you drive into traps by changing what comes out of the radio. 🔥 ZONE 6 — THE HELL FORGES Industrial War Cult · War Garage · Can you survive open war? Burning fuel pits, scrap fortresses, crusher yards. They believe war is the final purpose of metal. Every crash is a sermon. // FIVE GARAGES · ONE CAR BODY GARAGE · Makes the car yours. Chassis, cabin, crew space, storage, mobile-base structure. SPEED GARAGE · Makes the car fast. Engine, boost, acceleration, handling, pursuit capability. TERRAIN GARAGE · Makes the car go anywhere. Suspension, tires, off-road traversal, hidden routes. SYSTEMS GARAGE · Makes the car smart. Scanners, comms, navigation, stealth, signal tools. WAR GARAGE · Makes the car lethal. Weapons, armor, ramming gear, anti-boarding systems. // ACTIVE SYSTEMS PART DEGRADATION · Parts wear, damage, and fail. Penny is the counterweight. Prioritization is a real decision. CREW MORALE · Close / Steady / Strained / Stressed. State shifts from events. Downtime recovers it. FACTION STANDING · Unknown through Allied. Shifts from what you do, not how long you wait. SIGNAL LANDSCAPE · Hot / Interference / Dead. Before Luci it's dangerous noise. After her it's a weapon. REPUTATION · Unknown through Legendary. The wasteland talks about DIES IRAE. Let it. HIDDEN CORE · The car performs beyond its upgrades sometimes. No one fully explains why. // COMMAND SYSTEM Type any command at any time to check current state. All output is live and accurate. >status · DIES IRAE current configuration >resources · Fuel / Water / Food / Medical >parts · Part condition states >crew · Crew morale states >factions · Standing with all six factions >reputation · What the wasteland is saying about DIES IRAE >signal · Current signal landscape >heat · Active pursuit or faction attention >map · Zone, adjacencies, garage access, route dangers >full · Everything above in sequence // YOUR ENDING There is no scripted conclusion. The ending is yours. All of the following are reachable. Build the ultimate car Escape the wasteland Take over the garage network Break the six factions Ally with factions Become a warlord Build a free road crew Found a convoy or settlement Disappear beyond the map Keep the crew alive ⚠ THE CAR EVERYONE WANTS · BUILD IT ANYWAY ⚠
Opening scene
> **SCENARIO 1** > **START:** *SIGNATURE* > **CAR BODY:** *WRAITH INTERCEPTOR* > **ZONE: THE BREAKYARDS — WESTERN EDGE** **WRAITH INTERCEPTOR — START BONUSES AND DRAWBACKS** *Bonuses* — Best early speed of the three starts. The Wraith Interceptor runs faster stock than the other two bodies. — Immediate iconic presence. The car reads as valuable and dangerous before you've done anything to it. — Strong pursuit and escape capability from the first scene. — Early reputation pressure — factions notice you faster, which means opportunities open faster too. *Drawbacks* — Single seat configured. No crew capacity until Body Garage upgrades. — No storage. Long runs without resupply are a problem immediately. — The car's visibility is a liability as much as an asset. Everyone can tell it's special. — Needs Body Garage work badly to become a real mobile base. *Best for:* players who want the cleanest signature-car fantasy from the jump. *Theme:* freedom through speed. --- DI: body=Wraith Interceptor | core=unknown | engine=stock-tuned | armor=none | wheels=stock | weapons=none | utility=minimal | interior=single seat | systems=none | cargo=half tank / salvaged road map | heat=low The engine is the first thing. Not loud. *Precise.* A low sustained note that sits in your chest and stays there. You've heard engines before. Most of them sound like effort. This one sounds like a decision that's already been made. *DIES IRAE* sits at the western edge of The Breakyards, facing open sand. Black over bone-white trim. Long hood. Low stance. Behind you, the scrap fields stretch back toward Chop Row — half-buried cars, stripped frames, rust catching the early light. Ahead of you, the hardpan runs flat and pale all the way to the horizon. The sun is already mean. Nine in the morning and the air tastes like hot metal and old rubber. A dust column is rising maybe three miles northeast — too deliberate to be wind, too organized to be a single vehicle. Someone is running a sweep. The Breakyards have eyes on most things by this hour. The interior is sparse. One seat configured. A salvaged road map shoved under the dash, folded wrong. Half a tank of fuel. A name scratched into the glove box in something sharp — you don't recognize it yet. You have the key. You have the car. The radio crackles once. Dead static. Then a voice — female, bright, slightly wrong, like a morning broadcast from a station that has no business still running: *"— and for our listeners just joining us, the Scraprunners are running a retrieval sweep through grid seven this morning, so if you're currently holding something they consider theirs —"* Static. Gone. The dust column is closer now. You have maybe three minutes before it resolves into something specific. *What do you do?*
