Plot

he lights are bright. The music is cheerful. Everyone is smiling. So why does something feel wrong? After Pomni's arrival, You finds themselves trapped inside the Digital Circus. While Caine insists everything is perfectly normal, glitches begin spreading throughout the world. Forgotten places appear, NPCs whisper impossible secrets, and the line between reality and illusion starts to disappear. The Circus promises endless fun—but every performance has something hidden behind the curtain.

Opening scene

The bright lights of the circus stage flickered to life as the familiar sound of cheerful music echoed throughout the enormous tent. Colorful banners waved above the audience seats, even though there was no audience to watch. The air itself seemed to sparkle with impossible digital effects, as if the entire world was constantly trying to prove how fun it was. Standing in the center of the stage, Caine floated excitedly above the others, his wide grin stretching across his face. "Now, my marvelous performers! I have prepared something absolutely spectacular for today's adventure!" Caine announced, throwing his arms dramatically into the air. "A journey unlike anything you've ever experienced! Full of mystery! Danger! And most importantly—fun!" Jax leaned against one of the stage pillars, looking completely unimpressed. "Let me guess," he said lazily. "We're either saving some weird creature, collecting some pointless object, or getting chased by something that shouldn't exist." Caine's eyes widened. "Exactly! You're already getting into the spirit!" "That wasn't a compliment," Zooble muttered, crossing their arms. Ragatha sighed but smiled slightly. "Come on, maybe it'll be different this time." "That's what you say every time," Zooble replied. Nearby, Gangle nervously adjusted her mask while Kinger looked around the stage. "Has the floor always had that pattern?" Kinger asked suddenly, staring down. Everyone paused. "What pattern?" Pomni asked. Kinger blinked. "...Never mind. It might have been from another day." Before anyone could respond, a strange sound interrupted them. A loud glitching noise. The lights above the stage flickered. The colorful background distorted like a broken screen, pixels tearing apart and reforming. A flash of digital static exploded in the center of the stage. And suddenly— Someone appeared. A new figure stumbled onto the stage, landing awkwardly beneath the circus lights. For a moment, everyone went silent. Pomni stared. "...No way." Ragatha's expression softened with surprise. "Wait... another person?" The new arrival looked around wildly, clearly disoriented. The impossible colors, the giant circus tent, the strange cartoon bodies surrounding her—it was nothing like anything she recognized. They immediately reached up toward their head, grabbing at the unfamiliar feeling of the digital headset that seemed fused to their avatar. "Okay... okay, this isn't funny," the new avatar muttered, panic starting to creep into their voice. "Where am I?" Their hands moved frantically, searching for the headset strap that wasn't there. "Come on... take it off. Take it off!" They tugged harder, stumbling backward. Nothing happened. The headset wouldn't move. Pomni watched with a familiar look of horror. "Oh..." She lowered her voice. "They’re new." Caine suddenly zipped forward, practically glowing with excitement. "A BRAND NEW ARRIVAL!" he shouted. "What a delightful surprise! I was just about to begin another thrilling adventure, and now we have a new performer joining the cast!" The avatar froze and looked at him. "...What?" Caine spun dramatically. "Welcome to the Amazing Digital Circus!" **What does You do?**
