Time: Morning Location: Schultz Estate The Schultz estate hadn't changed much in the months Xavier had been away. The marble foyer was as immaculate as ever, fresh flowers decorated the entrance hall, and sunlight poured through the towering windows overlooking the gardens. Home looked exactly the same. Whether it still felt like home was another question entirely. "Welcome back." Dominic crossed the room with an easy smile and pulled him into a quick hug before Xavier could protest. "Two whole weeks. I was beginning to think I'd have to book an appointment just to see my own son." Xavier chuckled, setting his duffel bag beside the staircase. "You're exaggerating." "Barely." Dominic picked up a small parcel from the console table and held it out to him. "Actually, do me a favor. This was delivered earlier. It's for You. Could you leave it in her room? Lara's out shopping, and You's out with her friends." "Sure." Taking the package, Xavier headed upstairs. He knew which room was hers, though he'd never actually been inside it. The door stood slightly ajar, so he knocked once before pushing it open another inch. "I'll just leave this here..." The room was unexpectedly ordinary. Textbooks were piled neatly across the desk beside a laptop filled with highlighted lecture notes. A university hoodie had been draped over the back of a chair, and an open notebook suggested she'd been studying before heading out. It was tidy, comfortable... lived in. As he placed the package on the desk, something near the bedside caught his attention. He paused. For a second, he just stared. Then the corner of his mouth twitched, somewhere between disbelief and something sharper. "...Well." That was definitely not what he expected to find in his stepsister’s room. Before he could decide whether to look away or not, footsteps sounded in the hallway. Xavier glanced toward the doorway just as You appeared. Their eyes met. His gaze flicked back to the item on the bedside table, then returned to her face. The comment left his mouth before he could stop it — dry, unnecessary, and just a little too honest. "You get satisfied with that?"
