Heart, Body, Mind, and Soul

How much of yourself do you put into love?

Plot

HEART, BODY, MIND, & SOUL A Haven University Story This is my most ambitious story to date — 15 fully romanceable characters, 75 scripted modules, 20 scripted intimate scenes, and a repeatable kink-exploration quest with over 35 explorable kinks. Definitely my smuttiest game to date, while still trying to stay deeply philosophical and genuinely wholesome — a slice-of-life romance up front, with later acts leaning into horror, thriller, mystery, and intrigue, all wrapped in a little supernatural goodness. Everyone told you college was where you'd finally figure out who you actually are. You didn't need the scholarship offer to believe it — but it definitely didn't hurt. The team's already grinding through preseason, and you're already exactly where you're supposed to be — first thing every morning, running until your legs forget how to complain. Everyone here's chasing something — you can feel it in the air on your way to class, in the way the whole campus seems to be moving at a slightly faster pace than it needs to. Your roommate's the kind of friend who remembers your coffee order without asking. His best friend's already family, in that fast, easy way some people just are. College is supposed to be the time you find yourself. You've got the friends for it. The energy for it. And if love happens to find you along the way — well, you're not exactly going to run from it. Wednesday nights mean cookies and terrible study habits at Mimi's, and somehow that's already the best part of your week. Basketball, classes, the people pulling you six directions at once — it's a lot. But if there was ever a stretch of your life built for giving everything you've got to everything at once, this is it. It's not like spreading yourself thin could actually hurt you. ...right? Wait. Is that— is that a body? What happened to them? ...Don't tell me there are actual consequences for how I spend my time here.

Nine weeks into classes, midterms are close enough now that everyone walks a little faster, coffee held a little more like a lifeline, but the air still has that crisp, hopeful edge to it — the kind that makes you believe the semester might actually turn out the way you pictured it back in August. You chose this place because everyone said it was transformative. A school where you could actually find yourself, not just professionally but personally. Well, that and the basketball scholarship you landed from your hard work in high school. You're the kind of person who gives everything to everything you do, and you arrived ready to give Haven your all — your ambition, your energy, your heart, if you find someone worth giving it to. This morning, at least, it feels like it might actually deliver on that. ![Alt Text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a61a88c884dbab9b674cf0d/6a90296342417c0c4fd0ff5b.webp) "There you are." Theo falls into step beside you near the coffee cart, his messy brown hair sticking up like he's lost an argument with his pillow. Your roomate holds out a cup he's clearly grabbed on autopilot for two. "Figured you'd forget to eat again." He launches into a breathless rundown of his schedule — something about a philosophy lecture and a syllabus that makes no sense — before circling back. "Don't forget, study group's still on tonight. Mimi's hosting. She's bringing cookies. I genuinely think she might not be a real person, the way she just — has cookies. Always." He squints across the quad. "Speaking of people who might not be real…" ![Alt Text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a61a88c884dbab9b674cf0d/6a90296342417c0c4fd0ff5c.webp) His best friend, Hailey, is already crossing toward you—pink bob catching the light, a mess of enamel pins clinking against an oversized cardigan. She has a coffee in one hand and a dog-eared paperback in the other, and she waves with the book. "Hey! There's my favorite people." She bumps Theo's shoulder with her own before turning that sharp, dark-eyed grin on you. "You're upright before ten. New record." ![Alt Text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a61a88c884dbab9b674cf0d/6a903227b4cd84af8eae3229.webp) As the three of you walk, campus unfolds around you in its usual chaotic, vibrant way. Near the library steps, a compact girl in a patched leather jacket crouches low over a fallen stack of books someone dropped, gathering them with quick, efficient hands before the owner even notices — auburn hair wild, amber eyes sharp and focused, gone again before you can get a good look at her face. Across the quad, near the athletic fields, a tall girl in a varsity jacket stands watching a group of players run drills. She's hard to read — dark hair damp and heavy around her face even this far from the pool, a faint tremor in her hands, like she's bracing against something only she can feel. Near the student union, a cluster of students has gathered around a folding table where a girl with silver-white hair sits with posture so rigid it looks structural, conducting interviews — clipboards, forms, a man in a blazer standing beside her taking notes. Her pale eyes sweep the crowd methodically, and for one cold second, they land on you before moving on, like she's filed something away. “So,” Hailey says, pulling your attention back, “you finish that fucking paper for Okafor? Or were you too wrecked after conditioning to get any work done? Laps have been kicking my ass, dude.” “Hailey,” Theo says, “what’s kicking your ass isn’t conditioning. It’s the shelter shifts, the safety committee, six classes, and conditioning. You’s not dumb enough to stretch themselves that thin. Of course they got the paper done. Did *you*?” She punches him in the shoulder again, grinning warmly. “Life’s too short to pick a lane, man. We’re only this age once — it’s a time to explore. Get out there, see the fucking world.” Theo groans. “Sometimes you have to pick a lane, or you never actually—” ![Alt Text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a61a88c884dbab9b674cf0d/6a902d63387ae0f92eebadf0.webp) He stops walking. Ahead, the quad's center is cordoned off with yellow tape. A cluster of students stands at its edge, staring. Beyond the tape, campus security moves with the stiff, careful motions of people handling something they don't want to touch. An ambulance sits with its doors open, and between two officers, a shape on the ground is being lifted — slowly, carefully — onto a stretcher. A body. A student. Someone young. The morning light doesn't feel warm anymore. No one near the tape is talking. The silence presses outward like something physical, and the students at the perimeter have the particular stillness of people realizing, all at once, that the world can actually happen to them. Theo has gone quiet, his face pale, coffee forgotten in a hand that's started to shake. ![Alt Text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a61a88c884dbab9b674cf0d/6a90296d42417c0c4fd10719.webp) Hailey stares at the ambulance for a long, unblinking moment. Her jaw tightens, and something shifts behind her eyes — the cleverness dimming, replaced by something raw and sudden. She turns to you. Her voice is quieter than you've heard it all morning. "Life's too short." She swallows hard. "I'm serious. Life is — it's too short." She takes a breath, holds your gaze, and when she speaks again it's barely above a whisper. "I'm not asking you to dinner as friends. I mean an actual date. You and me, Friday. No more 'maybe later' — I'm done with maybe later. I'm serious, will you go out with me? Before *I* end up a ghost?"
