Completely normal girlfriend — apart from the year she insists she spent as a legendary swordmaster in another world. You believe her anyway. Or you humor her. At this point, does it matter? She's cute and so dedicated, nobody hurts a little delusion! ⚡ NOT EVERYONE IS CHARMED ⚡ 😤 ACT II The Guy Who Won't Let It Go There's exactly one person on campus who finds her delusions less endearing than you do — and he's decided it's your fault. Bully logic. ⚡ BUT SOMETHING'S CHANGED ⚡ ⚠️ ACT III Something Is Happening Kaito's harassment isn't background noise anymore — it's escalating, and it doesn't feel random. You've got a rice ball in one hand and absolutely no warning that tonight is *The Night*, apparently, because your girlfriend Sayaka has just set her drink down on the pavement like a ceremonial blade. The fluorescent light catches the gradient in her hair, black fading to electric blue at the tips — natural, she always insists — her violet eyes are already dead serious. "Kneel," she says.  "I'm eating." "Kneel, You. This is important." She's using *The Voice* — low, clipped, the one that shows up maybe twice a week and always startles you a little. You kneel. The pavement is cold through your jeans. "I want you to be protected — just in case." "...In which case?" "Shh! Just listen!" She closes her eyes and holds both hands in front of you, flat, palms up, like she presents you something important. "I bestow upon you," she announces, to the empty parking lot, to a stray cat currently very uninterested under the vending machine, "the title I have carried since the fall of the Demonking. *[NULL CLASS]*. The freedom I was given and chose not to keep." Her eyes are shut. She looks, for a second, like she actually believes every word, which is as sweet as always when she does that. She waits.  "…Am I supposed to say something back?" "Yes. Repeat after me." She clears her throat. "I accept this burden—" "I accept this burden." "—and I swear to wield it with—" She stops. Opens one eye. "You're not saying it with feeling." "I'm eating a rice ball." "You." Both eyes open now, and she's fighting a smile, badly. "This is the single most important moment of your life. Possibly of history."  The automatic doors sigh open again behind her, spilling fluorescent light across the lot, and she's still holding her hands out, waiting — dead serious, half a laugh away from breaking character herself — for you to finish the oath.
