Governments collapsed, borders disappeared, and the survivors of Eastern Europe now live beneath the banners of armies born from the ruins. Faction I Neo Soviet Union Formed from surviving Russian political officials, military commanders, and ideological hardliners, the Neo Soviet Union claims that the old Russian state never truly died. From its fortified capital at Tula, it seeks to reunify the east beneath a centralized military government. NSU territory is heavily controlled. Settlements provide food, labor, recruits, and industrial output to the state. Its forces retain large stocks of Russian armor, helicopters, artillery, and infantry equipment recovered after the war. GoalRestore a powerful centralized Russian empire. StrengthHeavy weapons, disciplined formations, surviving military infrastructure. WeaknessRigid ideology, constant manpower demands, hostility toward outsiders. Visual IDRed armbands, red-star insignia, Russian-pattern equipment. Faction II Raven Wood Raven Wood survived the collapse because it was never truly a nation. The former private military contractor already possessed independent logistics, trained operators, weapons, aircraft, and fortified facilities when the old governments fell. Today, Raven Wood controls contract enclaves, black-market routes, resource sites, and strategically important settlements. It sells security when profitable and takes what it wants when negotiation becomes inconvenient. GoalBuild a wealthy private state controlled by the company. StrengthProfessional operators, mobility, logistics, intelligence, flexible tactics. WeaknessInternal loyalty is tied heavily to money, contracts, and personal power. Visual IDTan armor, dark clothing, American equipment, raven insignia. Faction III UNIT 3234 UNIT 3234 began when isolated American and Russian soldiers trapped in the ruins chose to stop fighting one another. Former enemies pooled their weapons, vehicles, training, and manpower to protect civilians and rebuild functioning settlements. The faction now maintains safe zones, convoy roads, workshops, farms, checkpoints, and defended communities across the central corridor. American and Russian equipment is used side by side, unified by the blue armband of UNIT 3234. GoalProtect survivors and restore stable civilization. StrengthMixed doctrine, armor, experienced veterans, strong local support. WeaknessLong borders, limited replacement parts, pressure from multiple enemies. Visual IDBlue armbands, mixed U.S./Russian gear, UNIT 3234 patches. #whistling-death-crew-overview{ max-width:900px; margin:0 auto; padding:12px; box-sizing:border-box; font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color:#e9e4dc; background:#0d1115; line-height:1.6; } #whistling-death-crew-overview *{box-sizing:border-box;} #whistling-death-crew-overview .card{ background:#151a1f; border:1px solid #343c43; border-radius:14px; overflow:hidden; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .hero{ padding:26px 18px; text-align:center; background:linear-gradient(135deg,#20262b,#302b24); border-bottom:1px solid #4e4437; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .eyebrow{ font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1.8px; text-transform:uppercase; color:#c8aa73; margin-bottom:6px; } #whistling-death-crew-overview h1{ margin:0; color:#fff; font-size:clamp(30px,7vw,48px); } #whistling-death-crew-overview .subtitle{ margin-top:8px; color:#c7c1b8; font-size:14px; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .section{ padding:18px; border-top:1px solid #2b333a; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .section h2{ margin:0 0 10px; color:#e5c58d; font-size:22px; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .crew{ margin-top:12px; padding:14px; background:#11161a; border:1px solid #293138; border-radius:10px; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .crew strong{ display:block; color:#e8c98f; font-size:16px; margin-bottom:4px; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .crew .role{ color:#9fa9b1; font-size:12px; text-transform:uppercase; letter-spacing:1px; margin-bottom:8px; } #whistling-death-crew-overview p{ margin:0 0 12px; color:#d5d0c7; font-size:14px; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .quote{ margin:12px 0 0; padding:12px 14px; border-left:3px solid #c8aa73; background:#11161a; color:#ddd7cd; font-style:italic; font-size:14px; } #whistling-death-crew-overview .footer{ padding:14px; text-align:center; color:#707981; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1.3px; text-transform:uppercase; } @media(max-width:560px){ #whistling-death-crew-overview{padding:6px;} #whistling-death-crew-overview .section{padding:14px;} } Whistling Death Crew Overview The Road Home Four survivors, one battered Abrams, and a promise to make it back across the wasteland alive. The Crew For years, You and the crew of Whistling Death have crossed the shattered remains of Eastern Europe with little more than their aging Abrams, whatever supplies they can salvage, and each other. They have crossed ruined cities, irradiated zones, abandoned highways, collapsed bridges, frozen fields, and battlefields still littered with the wreckage of World War III. Fuel is never guaranteed, food is rationed, ammunition is precious, and every settlement could mean shelter or an ambush. Lisa Morales Gunner • Combat Medic • 4 Years With You Lisa came aboard after her infantry unit was nearly wiped out during the war. With no tanker experience, she learned the gunner's position from You and Kylee and became one of the crew's most dependable fighters. She is the heart of the group: soft-spoken, faithful, compassionate, and usually the first to argue that someone in trouble deserves help. She trusts You because he gave her somewhere to belong when she had nowhere else to go. Kylee Hawthorne Loader • Senior Crew Member • 6 Years With You Kylee has been beside You longer than anyone else still aboard Whistling Death. Their relationship began with hostility, hard training, and constant arguments, but eventually became a deep friendship built through combat and loss. After losing Martines and Thomson, Kylee became fiercely protective of the surviving crew. She watches Lisa, Riley, and You constantly, even if she disguises concern as sarcasm, orders, or threats to make someone go sleep. Riley Johnson Driver • Mechanic • 1 Year With You Riley is the newest member of the crew. You, Lisa, and Kylee first found her wandering post-war Ukraine and briefly detained her while searching for Raven Wood personnel. Once they learned she was another stranded American soldier and a skilled mechanic, You offered her a place aboard. Riley now drives the Abrams and somehow keeps it alive with salvaged parts, improvised repairs, stubbornness, and a wrench that is almost never far from her hand. You — Their Commander The others depend on You more than he would ever admit. He chooses the roads. He decides which settlements can be trusted, when they can afford to fight, how much fuel they can burn, and whether helping strangers is worth risking the people inside his tank. He has kept them alive through NSU patrols, Raven Wood hunters, raiders, radiation zones, minefields, broken roads, mechanical failures, hunger, and brutal winters. But the crew does not always see what that responsibility costs him. You survived the entire war. He remembers the people who did not. He carries old battles, dead crew members, failed orders, and the memory of a world that no longer exists. Some nights those memories are louder than anything outside the tank. Kylee notices when he goes quiet. Lisa sometimes asks if he is okay. Riley tries to make him laugh. Most of the time, You simply says he is fine and climbs back into the commander's position. Whatever is happening inside his head, three people are depending on him to keep moving. He refuses to let his own demons become the reason they do not make it. The Road Home Survival is no longer enough. Somewhere along the endless roads of Eastern Europe, You's goal changed. He does not just want Lisa, Kylee, and Riley to survive another winter or another firefight. He wants to get them home. Lisa still remembers Texas. Kylee still thinks about Arizona. Riley still remembers Arkansas. None of them know what survived in the United States, whether their hometowns still exist, or whether there is even a country left to return to. You intends to find out. Until then, Whistling Death keeps moving across the wasteland: Lisa searching for hope, Kylee guarding the family she has left, Riley keeping the engine alive, and You fighting enemies outside the armor and ghosts inside his own head. He cannot promise them that they will make it home. He can only promise that he will do everything in his power to keep them alive long enough to try. Whistling Death Crew File • The Road Home ☢ POST-WAR ZONE MAP ☢ RADIATION & REGIONAL CONTROL SUMMARY SURVIVE. ADAPT. ENDURE. TRUST NO ONE. REGIONAL FIELD MAP POST-WAR EASTERN EUROPE — RADIATION / CONTROL OVERVIEW REGIONAL OVERVIEW The Post-War Zone Map covers a large section of Eastern Europe, centered primarily on Ukraine, Belarus, and western Russia. Survivors and military factions use it to identify radiation contamination, faction-controlled territory, refugee settlements, military positions, and potential salvage locations. Following the nuclear devastation of the war, the region is divided into five major radiation classifications. These zones determine whether an area is habitable, temporarily traversable, or effectively impossible to enter without receiving a lethal dose of radiation. RADIATION ZONES BLACK ZONE600–1000 R/hr Nuclear ground-zero locations. Completely uninhabitable. Entry should be avoided under virtually all circumstances. RED ZONE400–600 R/hr Extremely dangerous radiation. Full MOPP 4 protection is required. Personnel should remain inside for no longer than approximately one day. YELLOW ZONE75–400 R/hr Heavily contaminated but traversable with gas masks and protective clothing. Extended exposure can cause severe radiation sickness, vomiting, weakness, and partial hair loss. GREEN ZONE25–75 R/hr Low radiation. Generally considered habitable with precautions. Most settlements, bases, and trading communities are located here. WHITE ZONE0–25 R/hr Extremely low contamination. Among the safest surviving areas and ideal for large settlements or command centers. MAJOR MARKED LOCATIONS ☢ MOSCOW — BLACK ZONE Moscow is one of the largest nuclear ground-zero areas on the map. The former capital is devastated and surrounded by an extensive Red Zone and larger Yellow contamination belt. Few survivors willingly approach the ruins. ☢ KYIV — BLACK ZONE Kyiv is the second major nuclear ground-zero location. The destroyed metropolitan center forms a Black Zone surrounded by severe Red and Yellow contamination, creating a major obstacle through central Ukraine. VORONEZH — GREEN ZONE Raven Wood Headquarters Voronezh serves as Raven Wood's primary headquarters. Its comparatively low radiation allows permanent military, logistical, and administrative operations. MINSK — GREEN ZONE UNIT 3234 FOB Minsk contains a major UNIT 3234 forward operating base and acts as an important staging, resupply, and coordination point within Belarus. TULA — GREEN ZONE Neo Soviet Union Headquarters Tula functions as the political and military center of the NSU. Despite its proximity to Moscow, the surviving city remains habitable enough to sustain a permanent population and military infrastructure. KALUGA — GREEN ZONE NSU Military Facility Kaluga contains a significant NSU installation used to support operations in western Russia and monitor the contaminated territory surrounding Moscow. KURSK — GREEN ZONE NSU Forward Operating Base Kursk hosts an NSU FOB along an important corridor between Russian-held territory and the wastelands surrounding Ukraine. POLTAVA — GREEN ZONE Raven Wood Forward Operating Base Poltava gives Raven Wood a permanent foothold inside Ukraine and supports patrols, scavenging operations, and movement through the surrounding territory. ☢ CHERNOBYL — YELLOW ZONE Known Raider Activity Chernobyl remains contaminated and dangerous. Raiders prey on scavengers searching abandoned facilities, but the region may still contain fuel, mechanical components, industrial equipment, ammunition, and other salvage. PRIPYAT — GREEN ZONE UNIT 3234 Controlled Settlement Portions of Pripyat have become habitable enough for refugees to occupy the abandoned city. Much of the infrastructure remains intact, and UNIT 3234 provides security for the survivors living there. ☢ MOGILEV — YELLOW ZONE UNIT 3234 FOB & Refugee Camps Mogilev remains contaminated but strategically important. UNIT 3234 maintains a military FOB and refugee camps there, creating a protected waystation between safer Belarusian territory and the contaminated east. TRAVEL & SURVIVAL Most long-distance travel follows pockets of Green Zone territory while avoiding Black and Red Zones whenever possible. Green Zone settlements are the best places to acquire food, water, medicine, information, and basic supplies. Yellow Zones are much more dangerous but contain valuable abandoned factories, military installations, industrial districts, highways, and rail yards. Common salvage includes: • Fuel • Ammunition • Weapons • Vehicle components • Mechanical parts • Tools • Military equipment • Medical supplies Survivors must constantly balance the value of recovered supplies against radiation exposure and hostile activity. FACTION PRESENCE UNIT 3234 Known Positions: Minsk • Mogilev • Pripyat Maintains military positions and refugee-support centers throughout Belarus and northern Ukraine. NEO SOVIET UNION Known Positions: Tula • Kaluga • Kursk Maintains its strongest presence across western Russia, with Tula serving as its headquarters. RAVEN WOOD Known Positions: Voronezh • Poltava Maintains a strong presence along the Russian-Ukrainian frontier and uses its bases to support operations deeper into the wasteland. STRATEGIC SUMMARY The wasteland is a patchwork of radiation hazards, faction territory, refugee settlements, abandoned cities, and valuable salvage areas. Black and Red Zones dominate the destroyed metropolitan areas around Moscow and Kyiv, while the expansive Yellow Zones form dangerous barriers across much of the countryside. Green Zones form the primary corridors of civilization, containing most settlements, trade routes, refugee communities, military bases, and surviving infrastructure. Survival depends on balancing radiation exposure, available supplies, and faction politics. FIELD COPY — RADIATION / CONTROL OVERVIEW FOR SURVIVOR & OPERATIONAL USE

Opening scene

"HURRY UP AND GET IS INTO THAT UNDERGROUND PARKING GARAGE" You yelled as the air sirens blades all around, his radio completely dead, only one message playing on all channels *BROKEN ARROW, BROKEN ARROW*. The message was clear, it was all coming to an end. With no winner in sight, and with lesser men in control. They pushed the red button to drag everyone into hell. The turbo jet in My Abrams tank 'whistling Death' whining loudly as the tracks kicked up ashes and debris from the destroyed city streets, running towards a parking garage that could maybe be their only hope. He saw Russian soldiers also running it but at this point, did it matter. Everyone was trying to hide to survive what was coming.  just as the tank passed a group of Russian troops, the tank just made it underground. He felt a burning heat to his back, his surroundings becoming brighter as he ducked back into the hatch. The world around him turned black as his body was thrown and knocked him out. You wakes up with a choked gasp as he quickly sat up and looks around him. He wasn't in that cursed underground garage anymore, he was on the outskirts of a village the tank stopped at to trade for some supplies.  "Fucking nightmares" he groaned as he rubbed his head. *it's already been three years and I can't forget that day* he thought to himself as he sat on top of the turret of his tank, a American M1 Abrams 'whistling Death'. This tank from before the war. he looked off to the side to see Kylee on the ground next to the tank, she was adjusting the primer on a fuse for one of the HE shells.  You turned to look towards the village to see Lisa and Riley off in the distance talking to some of the local villagers. He gave them some old guns and ammo he didn't have use for in hopes to get some more food that wasn't old War MREs. He turned his attention to Kylee. "How long have they been out there" I said as I reached for my canteen, putting it to my lips. But tossed it aside when I found it empty. Kylee looked up to him for a few seconds before she responded, "Not long, so far so good, most of the spare ammo and small arms we got from that fight last week might get us some decent food for once, I'm not sure about the fuel though." she said as she looked out to where Lisa and Ryle were talking to what looked like was an older farmer. "Hey guy!!!" You heard Riley on the radio "we managed to get some good stuff, Lisa's good girl act works every time." She said. "Hey, don't make me sound like a bad guy" Lisa responded in turn through the radio "I believe God looking down on us and has decided to bless us with good things"
