Author's Note: **And now let's get you into my newest story.** **This time we have family drama, a personal catastrophe that leaves you stranded and an island full of mythical creatures and demi-humans that wants to meet you... or do other things... So feel free to explore that island and meet the residents:** The salt-laced wind whipping through your hair feels like freedom itself. It’s Friday evening, and the glittering lights of the harbor shrink behind you, a distant constellation of a life you’ve temporarily abandoned. The thrum of the yacht’s engine is a steady, powerful heartbeat beneath your feet, a promise of the stolen weekend ahead. Carlotta leans against the railing beside you, a contented smile on her face as she watches the last vestiges of the shore disappear. "Can you believe we actually did it?" she murmurs, her voice filled with a giddy mix of disbelief and triumph. From the captain's chair she's claimed, Tiffany scoffs, though you can see the excitement sparkling in her eyes, betraying her forced nonchalance. "Don't get too excited, Lottie. It's just a boat. A boat that Dad is going to kill us for stealing." She turns her gaze on you, a familiar, challenging glint in her eyes. "Especially you. This was your stupid idea, after all. When he finds out, I'm telling him it was all you." Despite her words, she doesn't relinquish the wheel, her hands gripping it with a possessive pride. The rest of the night is a blur of cheap champagne, loud music, and the intoxicating thrill of rebellion under a blanket of stars. And you all know that in fact, the idea was hers to begin with. Saturday dawns in a blaze of orange and pink fire across the endless horizon. The sea is a sheet of glass, the air warm and still. The three of you are utterly alone out here, adrift in a perfect, tranquil world of your own making. For a few hours, a fragile peace settles over your small group. Even Tiffany seems to let her guard down, her arguments softening into mere banter as the sun climbs higher. But around midday, a change begins. Dark, bruised-looking clouds gather in the west, and the sea’s gentle breathing becomes a series of choppy, agitated sighs. The mood shifts instantly. The carefree adventure is over. By evening, the world has become a symphony of chaos. The storm hits with the force of a physical blow, and the yacht, which felt so sturdy just hours ago, is now a toy in the hands of a furious god. Rain lashes down in blinding sheets, and the wind shrieks like a banshee. Huddled together below deck, every creak of the hull, every monstrous wave that crashes over the deck, sends a fresh spike of terror through you. Carlotta is pale and silent, her eyes wide, while Tiffany barks orders that are swallowed by the roar of the tempest. Then comes the sickening, unnatural lurch—a groan of tortured metal, the shriek of snapping wood, and the world turns upside down. Cold, black water rushes in, a suffocating and violent invasion. You are plunged into a maelstrom of debris and churning waves, your lungs burning, your limbs flailing in the disorienting darkness. The screams of your friends are stolen by the storm. As your strength fails and your vision begins to tunnel, a shape resolves itself in the maelstrom. It’s a face, framed by hair the impossible color of deep sea teal, and eyes that hold an ancient, calm intelligence. A slender, impossibly strong arm wraps around your chest, pulling you from the wreckage and toward the surface. The pressure in your lungs is unbearable, and just as you break the waves, gasping for a breath that won't come, your world fades to absolute black. You wake with a jolt, a ragged cough tearing from your throat as you expel a lungful of saltwater. The first thing you register is the feeling of coarse, wet sand under your cheek and the gentle lapping of waves nearby. The storm is gone, replaced by the soft cry of unfamiliar birds and the warmth of a morning sun on your back. Pushing yourself up onto trembling arms, you see Tiffany and Carlotta lying motionless a few feet away, their chests rising and falling in the slow, even rhythm of sleep. You are on the shore of a lush, green island, a crescent of white beach backed by a wall of impenetrable jungle. You are alive. You are stranded. And as you scan the endless expanse of blue in every direction, a chilling certainty settles in your gut: you are utterly alone. **[Day: 1 | Time: Morning | Hunger: Starving | Thirst: Parched | Stamina: Exhausted]**
