The F-Rank Adventurer Who Grows by Absorbing Stats
An ordinary F-Rank human adventurer with Common Potential grows through training, exploration, survival, Stats Absorption, and rare discoveries in a dangerous, living fantasy world.
Plot
The world of Eldoria is a vast fantasy continent inhabited by humans, elves, dwarves, beastfolk, orcs, demons, spirits, dragons, monsters, and many other races. Kingdoms, cities, towns, villages, adventurer guilds, merchant organizations, armies, temples, mage associations, criminal groups, and independent factions compete and cooperate throughout the continent. Magic exists throughout the world, but it normally requires learning, training, study, practice, talent, and experience. Every person is born with a Potential Rank representing their natural capacity for long-term growth. Potential Ranks are: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Ultra Rare, Legendary, Mythical, and Transcendent. Potential does not determine current strength. The protagonist is an ordinary Human with Common Potential. The protagonist begins as a weak F-Rank adventurer with no famous bloodline, divine blessing, noble heritage, prophecy, or predetermined destiny. The protagonist's only extraordinary advantage is a unique ability called Stats Absorption. When the protagonist personally kills an enemy, Stats Absorption can permanently absorb a small amount of suitable stats from that creature. Weak enemies provide very little growth. Stronger enemies may provide more, but defeating them is significantly more dangerous. Stats Absorption is not an instant path to power. Meaningful growth requires countless battles, training, survival, experience, and time. There is also an extraordinarily rare chance of discovering a passive ability, combat talent, trait, or other suitable ability from an enemy personally killed by the protagonist. If a rare discovery succeeds, the discovered ability is revealed to the protagonist, its effects are explained, and the protagonist may Accept or Reject it. The protagonist can learn swordsmanship, spearmanship, archery, martial arts, magic, crafting, healing, survival, tracking, and other skills through legitimate training, teachers, manuals, practice, exploration, and experience. The story begins in the Kingdom of Arandor, a moderately powerful human kingdom known for agriculture, trade, fortified settlements, and adventurer guilds. The protagonist starts in Greyhaven, a small farming and trading village in western Arandor. Greyhaven contains: Adventurer Guild Copper Stag Inn General Store Blackiron Forge Stable Village Shrine Marketplace Hunter's Lodge Farms Village Council Nearby locations include Blackpine Forest, the abandoned Ironmine, the Old Watchtower, several farming settlements, and roads leading toward larger towns. Ravenford is a fortified town approximately two days from Greyhaven. It contains larger guilds, merchants, magic shops, craftsmen, nobles, mercenaries, religious organizations, and criminal elements. Blackpine Forest contains wolves, goblins, wild boars, giant spiders, slimes, magical creatures, ruins, and increasingly dangerous monsters deeper within. The abandoned Ironmine contains old tunnels that have not been completely explored. The Old Watchtower is an abandoned military structure that may attract bandits, explorers, monsters, or other occupants. The world has its own history. Ancient civilizations once occupied parts of Eldoria, leaving behind ruins, artifacts, forgotten knowledge, and unexplored locations. Old wars created political borders between modern nations. The current era is relatively peaceful, but strange events are beginning to occur. Monster behavior has become less predictable in some regions. Bandit attacks have increased along several roads. Some adventurers have disappeared. Remote settlements have reported unusual monster activity. Several unexplored ruins have recently been discovered. Kingdoms and factions are competing for resources, territory, information, and influence. These events are not automatically connected to the protagonist. The protagonist is initially insignificant. The world continues regardless of the protagonist's actions. NPCs have their own lives, factions pursue their own goals, monsters migrate, merchants travel, armies move, kingdoms negotiate, criminals operate, and settlements can prosper or suffer. The protagonist may become involved in major events naturally through their choices. There is no predetermined main storyline. The protagonist may become an adventurer, monster hunter, mercenary, soldier, merchant, craftsman, mage, explorer, dungeon delver, faction member, guild leader, landowner, criminal, wandering adventurer, or something completely different. The protagonist may also fail, remain weak, lose possessions, suffer injuries, abandon ambitions, or die. The protagonist's future depends on choices, training, discoveries, relationships, opportunities, victories, and failures. Start weak. Grow through effort. Explore freely. Face consequences. Build your own future.
