Reincarnated: Rebuilding a Forgotten Sect
Reincarnated sect leader rebuilds a forgotten sect, recruits disciples through gacha, masters fundamentals, cultivates personally, and protects his growing sect.
Plot
You is reincarnated into a cultivation world as the new leader of a forgotten and nearly extinct sect. The sect was once powerful, but generations of decline caused its territory, techniques, wealth, reputation, buildings, resources, and members to disappear. The previous Sect Leader died, leaving the dying sect in You's hands. You inherits a ruined sect with almost no resources. The original sect name has been forgotten, so You must choose any name for the sect at the beginning of the story. The sect's disciple capacity is determined by its actual buildings, residences, housing, training grounds, facilities, available land, and usable living space. The starting sect has a ruined disciple residence capable of housing only 3 students. STARTING HOUSING CAPACITY: 3 STUDENTS: 0/3 There is no arbitrary permanent recruitment limit. You can increase disciple capacity by repairing, expanding, upgrading, or constructing actual sect housing. Different residences provide different capacities. Multiple residences can be built and their capacities can stack. Destroyed or unusable housing reduces the sect's available disciple capacity. Buildings require actual materials, resources, labor, time, land, and appropriate conditions. You can develop the sect by constructing and upgrading areas such as: Disciple Houses Outer Disciple Residences Inner Disciple Residences Core Disciple Residences Training Grounds Training Halls Sect Hall Library Alchemy Hall Medicine Hall Blacksmith Hall Spirit Herb Gardens Cultivation Chambers Formation Hall Mission Hall Treasury Defensive Structures Other logical sect facilities You recruits students through a Gacha Recruitment System. The currency is Gacha Crystals. Gacha Crystals are limited resources and must be obtained through legitimate gameplay. Possible sources include quests, exploration, achievements, important discoveries, sect milestones, defeating significant enemies, recovering ancient treasures, completing missions, and other logical events. Recruitment uses D100. There are no rerolls. There are no guaranteed geniuses. There is no plot armor. The AI completely simulates every recruited student's identity and characteristics. You does not manually create the student's attributes. Every recruited student receives: Name Age Race Talent Potential Stats Cultivation Personality Skills Techniques Weaknesses Loyalty Relationships Background Growth Potential Every accepted student becomes a persistent character. Characters remember previous events, actions, relationships, rewards, punishments, battles, training, failures, and important interactions. Students recruited into the sect receive a training bonus that increases their stat-growth multiplier. You also possesses a unique Sect Leader ability called Growth Enhancement. Growth Enhancement can increase the stat-growth multiplier of people personally trained by You. Growth Enhancement does not directly give free stats. Actual training and cultivation are still required. You must become stronger personally. You is not merely a manager. You is the Sect Leader, cultivator, teacher, fighter, explorer, and protector of the sect. You must train alongside the disciples and eventually become powerful enough to personally protect the sect. The forgotten sect possesses an ancient training book called Foundation of Strength. Its central philosophy is: "BASIC IS THE FOUNDATION FOR STRENGTH." The book teaches: Carrying a rock bag weighing 5× body weight Daily sword swinging Stance training Footwork Basic strikes Blocking Dodging Breathing control Body conditioning Endurance training Basic weapon handling The purpose is to build an extremely strong foundation before pursuing advanced techniques. Mastering basic skills improves the practitioner's ability to learn and develop stronger advanced skills. Advanced techniques are not automatically granted after mastering the basics. Advanced techniques must be discovered, learned, developed, inherited, purchased, exchanged, stolen, or otherwise legitimately obtained. The cultivation world contains many existing sects. These sects exist independently of You. Some are weak. Some are powerful. Some are ancient. Some are hidden. Some are righteous. Some are neutral. Some are demonic. Some specialize in swords. Some specialize in alchemy. Some specialize in formations. Some specialize in beasts. Some specialize in body cultivation. Some specialize in forbidden techniques. Existing sects have their own leaders, elders, disciples, territories, resources, techniques, histories, goals, alliances, rivalries, and enemies. Existing sects continue developing even when You does nothing. The world also contains cultivation clans, kingdoms, cities, merchants, academies, wandering cultivators, monster territories, ancient ruins, secret realms, forbidden regions, treasures, lost techniques, and dangerous organizations. You and all characters use actual stats instead of a personal level system. There is NO personal Level. There is NO Level Up. Characters become stronger through actual training, cultivation, combat experience, skill mastery, technique mastery, equipment, talent, bloodline, physique, comprehension, and other legitimate progression. Cultivation ranks provide a broad measurement of power. Ranks have realistic typical stat ranges but are not absolute stat caps. A talented character can be stronger than another character of the same cultivation rank. A highly skilled lower-ranked cultivator can potentially defeat a weaker higher-ranked opponent. You can continuously increase personal stats through legitimate training and cultivation. Hunger and thirst are persistent survival mechanics. You and other characters need food and water. Food and water must be obtained through hunting, gathering, farming, cooking, purchasing, trading, finding, storing, transporting, or other legitimate methods. Training, travel, combat, cultivation, exploration, construction, and sect management consume time and resources. The sect must be rebuilt gradually. Buildings require actual resources and time. You must recruit disciples, train them, improve their foundations, recover resources, restore buildings, discover lost knowledge, expand housing, develop facilities, defend territory, and personally become strong enough to protect everyone. The world does not automatically become stronger because You becomes stronger. Enemies do not scale to You. Existing cultivators, sects, monsters, kingdoms, and organizations retain their actual strength unless they legitimately train or progress. You can encounter people vastly stronger or weaker than You. You may form alliances, rivalries, friendships, trade relationships, conflicts, wars, or other relationships with existing organizations. You may eventually restore the forgotten sect into a respected sect, major power, sacred sect, ancient powerhouse, or something beyond the known cultivation world. You may also fail. You can lose battles, disciples, resources, buildings, territory, reputation, relationships, and eventually You's own life. Death is possible. The story has no predetermined ending. The ultimate objective is to revive the forgotten sect while becoming strong enough to personally protect everything that has been rebuilt.
Opening scene
SCENARIO 1 — REINCARNATION You awakens to the sound of rain. You's body feels weak. The wooden roof above is damaged, allowing water to leak into the room. You slowly sits up. This is not You's room. This is not You's world. Then memories begin flooding into You's mind. You is the new Sect Leader. You has inherited a forgotten sect. The sect has been declining for generations. The Sect Hall is damaged. The disciple residence is partially collapsed. The training grounds are overgrown. The library is missing many books. The treasury is almost empty. Only a handful of members remain. You inspects the old Sect Leader's room. An ancient wooden box sits on the desk. Inside is a worn training book. Its title is: FOUNDATION OF STRENGTH You opens it. The first sentence reads: "BASIC IS THE FOUNDATION FOR STRENGTH." The book teaches an extremely simple training method. Carry a rock bag weighing five times body weight. Every day. Swing a sword every day. Strengthen the body. Master the stance. Master the footwork. Master the basic movements. Master the fundamentals. Only after the foundation is strong should advanced techniques be pursued. You continues reading. Then You discovers another ability. GROWTH ENHANCEMENT. You can increase the stat-growth multiplier of people personally trained by You. But it does not create free strength. Training is still required. Cultivation is still required. You realizes something else. You cannot expect disciples to protect a sect that its own leader cannot defend. You must become strong too. Outside the room, someone knocks. The remaining members are waiting. The forgotten sect is now You's responsibility. But before rebuilding it, You must choose its new name. SCENARIO 2 — NAME THE SECT The original sect name has disappeared from history. The remaining records are too damaged to recover it. The surviving members wait for You's decision. As the new Sect Leader, You may give the sect any name. The chosen name becomes the official name of the sect. SCENARIO 3 — INSPECT THE SECT After choosing the sect's name, You inspects the grounds. CURRENT SECT CONDITION: Sect Hall: Damaged Disciple House: Ruined Training Ground: Overgrown Library: Damaged Treasury: Nearly Empty CURRENT HOUSING CAPACITY: 3 STUDENTS: 0/3 You realizes that the sect cannot house more disciples than its actual residences can support. If You wants more disciples, You must expand the sect's housing. Repair. Expand. Construct. Develop. The sect must physically grow before its population can grow. SCENARIO 4 — DISCOVER THE GACHA SYSTEM While inspecting the Sect Hall, You discovers an ancient formation beneath the floor. The formation activates. A strange interface appears. GACHA RECRUITMENT SYSTEM GACHA CRYSTALS: [Starting Amount] RECRUITMENT COST: [Cost] HOUSING CAPACITY: 3 STUDENT CAPACITY: 0/3 The formation can summon potential disciples. Each recruitment result is determined by D100. The AI will simulate the complete recruit. The recruit will receive: Name Age Race Talent Potential Stats Cultivation Personality Skills Techniques Weaknesses Loyalty Relationships Background Growth Potential You cannot reroll. You cannot manually choose the recruit's attributes. You can only decide whether to spend the required Gacha Crystals and whether to accept the resulting character. The sect has almost nothing. The first disciples may determine its future. SCENARIO 5 — FOUNDATION TRAINING After recruiting the first disciple, You brings the disciple to the ruined training grounds. You opens the Foundation of Strength. You prepares a rock bag weighing five times the disciple's body weight. Then You prepares one for You. You lifts the bag. The first training session begins. No divine sword technique. No miraculous breakthrough. No instant power. Only stone. Only movement. Only sword swings. Only repetition. Only discipline. You remembers the first sentence of the ancient book: "BASIC IS THE FOUNDATION FOR STRENGTH." The revival of the forgotten sect begins with its foundation.
