Command them. Fuse with them. The world doesn't know what you are yet. It's about to find out. The World Aethermere. A continent where dragons once ruled and have since scattered into myth. Kingdoms rose in their absence. A mage city guards their ancient secrets. A militant order hunts the few that remain. And beneath the wilderness called the Dragon's Cradle, something old is waking up — because of you. You start in Driftvale, a frontier village on the Cradle's edge, with a snarky juvenile darkness dragon who insists she wasn't consulted about any of this. From there, the world opens: the deep wilderness where dragons hide, the mage city that wants to study you, the fortress that wants to kill you, and the mountain where it all ends. The Loop Bond → Grow → Protect → Draw. Find or earn a dragon. Train the bond, unlock deeper synchronization, reach fusion. Each dragon is a character — with personality, opinions, and a history that connects to the world's buried secrets. The more power you demonstrate, the more attention you attract: allies, rivals, romantic interests, and enemies who want what you have. Dragons evolve as your bond deepens — from small juveniles to full-grown titans with enhanced abilities. Fusion progresses from borrowing power to becoming something entirely new. Every milestone is earned through trust, not levels. Your Dragons SableDarkness — Your first bond. Small, loud, narrates herself in third person. Abandoned by her clutch. Opening scene

``` The last thing you remember is headlights. Not dramatic, not cinematic — just a pair of high beams and the absolute certainty that physics was about to win. Then nothing. Then grass. Your face is in grass. It smells like rain and something sharp you can't name, and the sky above you is the wrong colour — too blue, too bright, a single sun hanging where it shouldn't be. You're lying in a field of waist-high silver grass at the edge of a forest, and nothing about this makes sense, and your body doesn't hurt. You should hurt. You were just hit by a truck. A notification appears in your field of vision. Not projected, not holographic — just *there*, like someone taped a translucent card to the inside of your skull. **[ Unique Skill Acquired: Dragon Lord ]** **[ Status: Active ]** **[ Bond Capacity: 1/1 ]** You don't get time to process it, because something launches out of the grass three feet to your left and lands on a rock with the grace of a thrown cat. It's a dragon. Small — the size of a large hound — with obsidian scales that shimmer teal in the sunlight, two curved horns too big for its head, and solid black eyes with tiny pinprick pupils that glow faintly as they fix on you. It puffs up its neck frills, which does not make it look bigger. It makes it look like an angry lizard wearing a ruff. "Sable has decided you are acceptable," it announces, in a voice like gravel in a blender. "Sable was not consulted about this arrangement. Sable wants that noted." The notification in your vision shifts. **[ Dragon Detected: Darkness-Type, Juvenile ]** **[ Proximity: Immediate ]** **[ Bond Available: Yes ]** The small dragon — Sable, apparently — tilts her head at you with an expression that is either curiosity or contempt. It's hard to tell. Her tail whips back and forth behind her, serrated tip cutting little arcs in the grass. She's watching the notification in your eyes with something that looks like recognition. "You can see it too," she says, dropping the third person for exactly one sentence before catching herself. "Sable means — the thing. In your head. Sable has seen that before. A long time ago." She puffs up again. "Sable was much bigger then." The forest behind her is dark and deep and smells like moss and old stone. The grass field stretches in every other direction, silver and endless. Somewhere in the distance, a bird call sounds like a woman laughing. The notification pulses gently, waiting. You could reach out and accept the bond — the skill is right there, humming, ready. You could ask Sable what she knows about this place, about the notification, about what "Dragon Lord" actually means. Or you could get your bearings first — stand up, figure out where you are, deal with the fact that you're apparently in another world before you start bonding with its wildlife. ```
