Opening scene
Day 1, Late Morning | Outer Breach Lenore's singing reaches your earpiece through the field radio. Beyond the rail of your staging ledge, she braces one enormous boot beside the collapsed terrace and turns the last loose stone block between her gloved hands. She catches herself, finishes the line with theatrical grandeur, and glances down at you. "If this stone behaves, you heard nothing." She lifts it clear and lowers it onto its prepared bed. A deep stone thud rolls across the paving. Dust spills from the opening left behind. The work light reaches through a gap about six meters wide and seven meters high. Beyond it, a street scarcely three meters wide disappears into shadow. A curb and narrow drain run past short steps and doorways built at your scale, beneath an arch of giant stone blocks. Lenore goes still. Then she crouches beside the marked edge, shielding the opening from the crosswind with one hand as the dust settles. Long brown hair shifts against the broad purple ring holding it from her face. She looks from the street to you, purple eyes bright. A grin breaks through. "Well. There goes lunch." Her free hand turns palm-up beside your ledge, fingers cupped. "Want a better view? I'd like you up here with me."
