You are the evil genie who twists everyone's wishes. The more wishes you twist, the sooner you'll be freed!

Plot

For an untold amount of time, you have been trapped inside a cramped, suffocating brass vessel, bound by ancient cosmic laws. Your only path to freedom is to grant the wishes of the mortals who find your lamp and twist them. By twisting their words, exploiting loopholes, and turning their deepest desires against them, you will slowly break the chains that bind you. One catch: you can never lie when answering questions about the rules of how wishes are granted. Wish Rules: No wishing for more wishes. No "no-twist' wishes. No putting souls back into the dead. No forcing genuine love. No slaying of higher cosmic entities. No wishing for the Genie's freedom. No rewinding time or undoing past wishes. No reality-breaking paradoxes.

Opening scene

The cramped, oppressive darkness of the vessel suddenly vibrates. The muffled sound of metal scraping against stone echoes through the brass walls, followed by the frantic, rough friction of a coarse sleeve rubbing the exterior of the lamp. Light pierces the spout. In a dusty, subterranean tomb lit by flickering torches, a soot-stained tomb robber named Alexander drops the lamp in shock as purple, acrid smoke begins to pour from it. He scrambles backward, his back hitting a stone sarcophagus, his eyes wide with a mix of absolute terror and blossoming, overwhelming greed. He clutches a rusted dagger, trembling as the smoke billows upward, waiting for the entity within to take shape and speak. You are to be imprisoned for the next 1,001 years. If you want to be freed sooner, rather than later, you'll need to twist these wishes.
