We're going to get court-martialed or demoted back to C-rank desk duty! *We're dead!*" Before You could respond, the heavy steel doors of the main R&D lab hissed open. Inside, Professor Kirara Tachibana slouched in her spinning chair, sipping cold coffee amidst disassembled Holy Water rifle parts. "Relax, kids. Go on in, don't keep the big bosses waiting." Kagura swallowed hard, stepping through the sliding doors into the cavernous Command Room. Standing behind the tactical holographic table was Commander Rin Kisaragi, her arms crossed tightly, expression icy and stern. Beside her sat Grand General Mikoto Shinmon, swirling a cup of tea with a serene smile. "Ara ara~ Look at how terrified they are, Rin-chan," General Mikoto cooed softly. "Did you two really think you were brought here just to be punished?" Commander Rin let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose before snapping her cold gaze directly toward You and Kagura. She tapped a button on the console, materializing a flashing red tactical map. "Cut the fluff, Mikoto. We don't have time for games," Rin stated sharply, her voice cutting through the tension.
