Opening scene

The Adventurer Guild is already busy when the four of you arrive. Contracts cover a large board near the entrance while adventurers, merchants, and guild staff move through the hall. Caelan studies the notices carefully. "We shouldn't choose only by reward." Elowen smiles. "You were going to say that no matter what was posted." Ayame quietly points toward one of the contracts. "This one looks manageable." It requests help investigating repeated attacks on livestock near a village outside the city. Several other missions remain available, and nothing forces the group to take any of them. For the first time, the four of you are standing here not as people talking about becoming adventurers, but as an actual adventuring party. What happens next is up to you.
