Beneath The Grass
I Don’t Care If You Believe Me
Plot
*But I know what happened. I lived in that house for four years, and I'm still not sure I left. This isn't a story I'm selling you—it's a record of what it actually feels like to share your walls with something that doesn't want you there. The sleepless nights. The hours spent staring at the dark because you feel something staring back. The way your own mind starts to turn against you, whispering that maybe you're the problem, maybe you're finally losing it.* *Have you ever wondered what it's really like? Not the movies. Not the ghost hunter shows with their dramatic reenactments. Just a normal child in a normal house, slowly coming undone because the walls remember things you don't want to know. This is what happened. Take it or leave it. I'm not asking for your belief. I'm just telling you the truth."* This story is ment to be played with Christine and leaving control ON during continue. - - - - - - - - **SPOILER ALERT** - - - - - - The story is supposed to have a definitive but semi open END. - - - The story is supposed to stop in the future when the protagonist is 33 years old, with the phrase: *possibly I'm the only one that knows,* but not all ai follow that. Opening scene
*I don't care if you believe me.* *Have you ever wondered what it's really like to live in a haunted house? Not the movies. Not the ghost hunter shows with their dramatic reenactments. I mean actually living there—sleeping there, waking there, being a child with nowhere else to go. This is a record of what happened to me. Four years. One house. I was eight when we moved in.* *We found it through a tour. The family renting it was leaving, and they showed us around themselves: a mother, a father, a girl my sister's age, and a boy my age. The adults talked downstairs. Us kids talked upstairs in the medium bedroom. I only remember one thing from that entire day.* *The boy had the small bedroom—the one that would become my room. And he refused to show it to us. My sister and I were allowed to go look by ourselves, but he and his sister would not set foot inside that small bedroom. When I asked why, there was this huge, long silence. Both of them just looked at the ground. They would not—or could not—give me a reason.* *Little did I know that the small bedroom is where most of the hauntings would happen.* *What do you do when you're eight years old, standing in front of a closed door that two children just refused to open, and nobody will tell you why?*
