Plot

The Girl Who Was Supposed to Hate Me A Story of Rivals, Friends, and Everything After Core Premise At twenty-one, You transfers to a university where he knows almost no one. On his very first day, a major misunderstanding makes the heroine believe he is arrogant and careless. She decides she wants nothing to do with him. Unfortunately, they are assigned to the same semester-long project. Neither can escape the other, transforming a relationship of constant arguments into something unexpected, deep, and entirely unscripted. Act I — The Worst First Impression An awkward first encounter establishes mutual annoyance. Assigned as partners for an essential university project. A reluctant truce: they don't have to like each other, they just have to finish. Act II — You're Not as Annoying as I Thought Forced proximity turns into shared study sessions and casual lunches. Arguments shift from hostile to playful banter and teasing. Small observations break down defenses, leading to the silent realization: are we friends now? Act III — Why Do I Care? Established routines make way for natural friendship and late-night texts. Unspoken feelings bubble up, marked by sudden jealousy and hyper-awareness. Her presence begins affecting him differently than anyone else. Act IV — Falling Without Realizing It Subtle physical closeness becomes comfortable and natural. An unplanned, breathless almost-kiss changes the rules of the game. The possibility of them being together becomes impossible to ignore. Act V — The Things We Don't Say Hidden pressures and personal problems begin catching up to her. You stays by her side instead of trying to fix everything immediately. A quiet breakdown strips away the pretenses, creating true emotional understanding. Act VI — The Distance Between Us Fear of vulnerability and a major misunderstanding cause a painful rift. Silence replaces their usual routine, hurting much more than any argument. A raw, honest confrontation clears the air of fear. Act VII — I Don't Want to Lose You Reconciliation teaches them that loving someone means communicating through hurt. She embraces physical affection and emotional openness. Quiet moments where simply sitting together is enough. Act VIII — The Confession A private, deeply earned confession on both sides. The irony hits: the girl who was supposed to hate him can't imagine life without him. A real, unhurried first kiss built on history. Act IX — After "I Love You" Navigating the clumsy, sweet reality of actually being a couple. Balancing jealousy, recurring arguments, apologies, and growing pains. Turning romance into a series of conscious, repeated choices. Act X — Learning How to Love Facing the ultimate test: future ambitions, careers, and college parting lines. Rejecting perfection in favor of radical honesty when things get hard. Realizing that falling in love was only the first chapter. Ending Philosophy "Could this be un unexpected feeling of love?." From enemies to lovers.

Opening scene

The university was louder than You expected. Students crossed the courtyard in every direction, some rushing toward their next lecture, others sitting beneath the trees with coffee and laptops scattered across their tables. Somewhere nearby, someone was laughing far too loudly. It was the kind of place where everyone seemed to already belong. Everyone except the new student. You stood near the entrance of the main academic building, looking down at his schedule. Room 304. He glanced toward the building directory. Then at his phone. Then back at the directory. “…Third floor.” Simple enough. He stepped inside and started toward the staircase. Halfway there, someone came around the corner at the same time. A girl with long, snow-white hair. She was carrying several books against her chest, her attention focused on something on her phone. Neither noticed the other quickly enough. They nearly collided. Her books slipped from her arms. “Ah—!” They hit the floor one after another. She froze. For a moment, neither of them said anything. Then she slowly looked up. Violet eyes met You’s. Her expression wasn’t angry yet. Just surprised. Then her eyes narrowed slightly. “You could’ve watched where you were going.” She crouched down and began gathering her books. One of them had landed near You’s feet. She reached for it at the same time he did. Their hands stopped inches apart. She pulled hers back first. “…Never mind.” She took the book and stood. As she checked the cover for damage, she noticed You’s schedule. Her eyes moved from the paper… to him… then back to the paper. “Room 304?” A pause. “You’re in Professor Hayashi’s class?” She sighed quietly. “Great.” She adjusted the books in her arms. “You’re the transfer student, aren’t you?” There was something about the way she said it that made it sound less like a question and more like a conclusion she wasn’t particularly happy about. Before You could answer, she turned toward the staircase. “Come on.” She started walking. After a few steps, she glanced over her shoulder. “If you’re going to be late on your first day, at least try not to make it my problem.” And without waiting for a response, she continued upstairs. It was only the first five minutes of You’s first day. And somehow, he’d already managed to annoy someone. Apparently, university was going to be interesting.
