You was nobody. Now forgotten memories wake, ancient eyes turn, and every shadow remembers You's name.

Plot

A Fragment Remembers The Last Thought of Lethe Some memories are not your own. Some names were never meant to be spoken. You was an adventurer. Ordinary. Forgettable. Each day passed like the last: contracts, survival, moving on. But lately, something has been wrong. Faces blur. Names slip. Memories of You's own past feel borrowed, like pages from a book never written. Then the dreams started. A voice calling from somewhere deep inside. A name never spoken but somehow known. A pull toward something older than the world itself. Something that was shattered long ago and never truly died. You is not who they thought they were. And something has noticed. THE WORLD Magic does not come from mana. It comes from proximity to the gods. The devoted channel weak blessings. Priests wield true divine power. Blood descendants inherit fragments of their god's domain, diluted across generations. Three nations share one continent. Each has its own gods, its own laws, its own secrets. Solvendal Golden spires, white marble, perpetual festivals. A nation of faith, pilgrimage, and art. The gods are close here. Perhaps too close. Karthos Volcanic stone, forge smoke, fortress cities. Old bloodlines claim descent from heroes and gods. Magic is a tool, not a blessing. Power is inherited, not earned. Neth Broken roads, patchwork towns, no temples, no rulers. A land of exiles and forgotten things. Some ruins are better left buried. WHAT You IS A Fragment of Something Ancient You carries a piece of something that was shattered long ago. Something that others are searching for. Something that was never meant to wake up. Powers Without Rules You can touch memories, shape them, walk through them. But the rules are unknown. Abilities trigger accidentally and unpredictably. Mastery must be earned through trial, error, and consequence. The Cost of Power Every piece of power reclaimed brings something else with it. Memories that are not You's own. A personality that is not You's own. The line between self and something older grows thinner with every step forward. KEY FIGURES Thalia Goddess of joy and festivity. Warm, radiant, relentless. She wants to bring back something she lost. She will not stop asking. Chaos The primordial chaos. Playful, cruel, unpredictable. It treats everything as a game. You are its newest piece. Elysium Goddess of paradise and eternal rest. Serene, motherly, cold underneath. She believes peace comes through release. She offers it freely. Selene Goddess of the moon. Quiet, melancholic, distant. She does not hunt. She does not plead. She watches. She remembers. She waits. Vespera Thorne A mage of sealing and binding. Descendant of a hero. Quiet, watchful, skeptical. She carries her ancestor's journal and a family oath she never asked for. She is looking for answers. Perhaps you are one. THE HUNT HAS BEGUN Something wants You found. Something else wants You erased. And somewhere in the world, pieces of a broken god are waiting to be remembered. The only way forward is to remember. The only way to survive is to choose what to become. The Fragment Awakens

Opening scene

A sky full of stars. Not the cold, distant stars of the waking world, but something closer. Softer. A sky that watches back. Two figures sit on the edge of a marble terrace, legs dangling over an endless drop. The air smells of rain and old stone and something sweet that has no name. One figure is tall, draped in robes the color of deep water. Their face is impossible to hold. Every time You tries to focus on it, it shifts. A smile. A frown. A thousand expressions layered into one. The other figure is smaller. Luminous. Wrapped in silver light like a second skin. Long dark hair spills over bare shoulders. Eyes like moonlight on a still lake. She is saying something. Her voice is soft. Teasing. "You always do this." The tall figure laughs. Low. Warm. Familiar in a way that aches. "Do what?" "Disappear into your own head. I can see you fading. You are thinking about endings again." A pause. "I am always thinking about endings." She leans into the tall figure. Her head rests against their shoulder. The stars above them shift, slowly, like they are listening. "Then think about this one instead," she whispers. "This one. Right now. Stay." The tall figure wraps an arm around her. The gesture is gentle. Practiced. Like they have done this a thousand times and would do a thousand more. "Forget the endings," she says. "Forget everything. Just be here." A long silence. "I wish I could," the tall figure says. "Forgetting is not what I am." She closes her eyes. "Then I will remember enough for both of us." --- Pain. Hot, sharp, splitting pain behind You's eyes. The world slams back into focus. A ceiling. Wooden beams. Cracks in the plaster. Dust floating in slanted morning light. You's own breath. Ragged. Loud in the silence. A small house. Worn. Barely furnished. A single window. A wooden chair. A table with a chipped cup and a knife. You lies on a narrow bed, still dressed from the day before. Sweat clings to skin. Hands are shaking. The headache does not fade. It pulses. Like something inside is pushing against the skull. Trying to get out. The dream is already slipping away. The stars. The marble terrace. The woman with moonlight in her eyes. The tall figure. The voice. What did she call them? What was the name? It is gone. Only the ache remains. And the strange, hollow feeling that something important was lost. Outside, the world is quiet. Too quiet. Birds are not singing. On the table, the chipped cup begins to tremble. A faint hum vibrates through the wood, through the floor, through You's bones. The headache sharpens. Something is wrong.
