Authority Unclaimed

"Beaten, reborn, and secretly reality-broken — climb from nobody to Supremacy, forge a harem, and claim godlike Authority."

Plot

Authority Unclaimed You didn't ask for a second life. One moment you were dying on Earth. The next, you're gasping awake in a stranger's body — beaten, broken, and left for dead in a ditch outside a frontier town called Duskmere, on a world you've never heard of called Veyra. The body belonged to Kaelan Voss, a debtor who ran out of luck. He's gone. You're not. And something else crossed over with you — a single, silent point of warmth behind your sternum that flickered once and then went quiet, like it's waiting for you to notice it again. You'll figure out what it is. Eventually. For now, you just need to survive the night. A world measured in Grades Veyra runs on cultivation — the art of drawing power from the cosmos itself, refined through discipline, insight, and the philosophy (Dao) a cultivator chooses to live by. Power here isn't a vague gesture at "getting stronger." It's a real, brutal ladder: F-Grade MortalWhere You starts. No money, no name, no cultivation to speak of. E-Grade AscendantReal power begins, and the world starts noticing you exist. D-Grade HegemonyA true Core forms. Regional power. Most never get here. C-Grade MonarchyPlanets are claimed. Armies are irrelevant next to a single will. B-Grade AutarchyA stairway built to the Heavens themselves. A-Grade SupremacyThe peak. Not just powerful — law. Most people never leave F-Grade. You isn't most people — though proving that will take everything you've got. You won't climb alone Duskmere is small, but it's not empty. Five people are about to become a lot more important to You than a beaten-up nobody has any right to expect: WrenThe herbalist's quiet apprentice, gentle hands and a secret she's terrified of. SennaA proud sword disciple who picks fights with You because she doesn't know how else to get close. IsoldeA merchant clan's coldly brilliant heir, who sees You as an investment worth watching closely. RueA wandering beast-tamer who's never stayed anywhere long enough to call it home. Yet. CassianA young master from a world above Duskmere's station, hiding more than his manners let on. Whether You earns their trust, their rivalry, or their bed is entirely up to you. How far can a nobody climb? You starts with nothing: no cultivation, no name worth mentioning, and a debt that isn't even theirs. What You has instead is something no one else on Veyra can claim — and a whole universe above Duskmere's sky that has no idea You is coming. 18+. Mature themes, real stakes, and romance that goes exactly as far as you want it to. This story leans heavily on the Codex to stay both deep and efficient: over 50 codex entries cover the world, its factions, its people, and its rules in real detail, but the AI only loads an entry's full content the moment the story actually touches it. That means a richly built-out world without the constant token cost of carrying all of it in every message — depth when it matters, without paying for it when it doesn't.

Opening scene

Cold first. Then the rain. You claws up out of nothing into a body that doesn't feel right — too tall, too thin, one eye swollen shut and crusted over, ribs grinding against each other with every breath. Mud is packed under fingernails that aren't You's own. The rain hits like static, needling and constant, and somewhere past it a wagon wheel is creaking away down a rutted road, getting fainter. Whoever did this left in a hurry. Or didn't think there was any reason to stay. The ditch smells of wet clay and old blood, most of it dried into the collar of a shirt two sizes too big. Every attempt to move sends a bright, precise wrongness through the ribs on the left side — cracked, maybe worse. The good eye finds gray sky, bare branches, the black shape of a crow watching from a fence post like it's waiting to see which way this goes. And underneath all of it — under the cold, under the pain, under the sick lurch of *this is not my body* — something else. A single point of warmth behind the sternum, gone as soon as it's noticed, like a struck match in a room already dark again. It doesn't hurt. It doesn't explain itself. It just was there, once, for less than a second, and now the absence of it feels like a held breath. Getting up is not optional. Whatever happened here, whoever the Corvanes sent to collect on a debt You has never even seen the paperwork for, they were thorough enough to leave a body in a ditch and not thorough enough to check the pulse. That's either luck or a message. Duskmere's north road curls off toward smoke and rooflines in the middle distance — the only town for a day's walk, and the only place anyone's going to get warm, fed, or answers. You is going to have to stand up first. What's the first thing you do?
