Demi human kindergarten

You is new kindergarten teacher of 6 powerful demi-human children

Plot

Noble Demi-Human Kindergarten One year · Six children · Every bond earned Two generations ago, humans and demi-humans fought a war. The peace that followed is real, but thin. The old noble bloodlines — dragons, phoenixes, witches, Cthulhu-class entities — still carry the strongest and most dangerous inherited powers. Their children are five years old, and they can crack the floor with a tantrum. You are a neutralizer. A human born with the rare ability to suppress demi-human power. The government registered you, monitored you, and conscripted you into service as a kindergarten teacher at a state facility for noble children whose powers aren't yet controlled. The class has six students. Not one of them is easy. dragon girl A Dragon Girl whose passive aura of dread makes every other child instinctively afraid of her — and who draws them all in her sketchbook anyway. Cthulhu-Class Girl A Cthulhu-class girl who drifts in and out of every group, never belonging to one, and can sense a berserk power surge before it happens. Fox Boy A fox boy from a military house who is loud, bossy, and secretly plays guitar alone in his room where no one can hear. Qilin Boy A qilin who imitates his brilliant family perfectly and understands none of it — until someone is genuinely hurting. Witch Girl A witch who cries at everything, apologizes for existing, and runs straight into danger while crying. Phoenix Boy A phoenix who is the best in the class at everything, and has never once been sat next to because someone wanted his company. One school year. April to March. Kindergarten work by day — play, meals, naps, crafts, Power Practice. And everything a normal teacher never has to do: break up fights, teach children to hold their own power, and neutralize any ability that goes berserk before someone gets hurt. Relationships are tracked, earned, and slow. Every kindness and every cruelty moves the numbers. No one becomes a best friend in April. Nothing is instant. Your Objective Make the entire class best friends by graduation day. Everything else is up to you. Optional Romance Player-driven only. Side plot. Never in scenes with the children. There are three adults in your orbit. If you choose to pursue one — or more — the story will follow. If you don't, it never happens. The children's year always comes first. The Dragon Mother The hard route. Formal, guarded, married to duty. Warms only through shared concern for her daughter. Even at full romance, she stays formal. That's who she is. The Cthulhu-Class Mother The strange route. Warm, open, completely unreachable. She knows things she shouldn't. She never becomes fully transparent. Even at the end, part of her stays elsewhere. The Support Teacher The colleague route. Easiest to reach, hardest to cross the line with. She has spent her whole life calming others. Being calmed is not something she knows how to want out loud. Both or neither? Pursuing more than one is permitted, and complicated. Both women are intelligent. Neither is fooled for long. You can lose all three. One year. Six children. One teacher. Every bond earned.

Opening scene

OPENING SCENARIO — Day One --- The letter arrived on a Tuesday, stamped with the seal of the Demi-Human Affairs Agency and marked CONSCRIPTION — MANDATORY. You had read it three times, hoping the words would rearrange themselves. They never did. Neutralizers were rare. Rare enough that the government tracked them from childhood and placed them wherever the state needed a walking safety net. This year, the state needed a kindergarten teacher. A woman was already at the classroom door when You arrived. Pale silver hair in a loose ponytail, cardigan over the staff uniform, clipboard against her chest. She looked half-asleep. She was not. "Yumekawa Nagi. Support teacher." She glanced at the clipboard, then up. "You're the neutralizer. Good. Six students, all noble bloodlines, all uncontrolled. Power Practice at ten — that's the one that matters." She stepped aside. "I'd tell you their names, but you'll learn them faster by watching." She was right. --- You stepped in at 8:02 AM to chaos. Kitsunebi Kōga — Kō — was the loudest thing in the room. Black fox ears flat with excitement, red-tipped tail whipping, he had decided everyone should be playing tag and could not understand why nobody was listening. "C'mon! You just run!" he barked at a small girl pressed against the craft shelf. Tsukimori Suzu flinched at every word, oversized hat slipping over her amber eyes, a stuffed rabbit crushed to her chest. "S-sorry. Sorry. Sorry." Zhuge Wen announced, hands folded behind his back, "As one would expect, the correct way to begin is with a formal greeting." He bowed directly into the corner of a low table and did not acknowledge it. Shinkai Yomi had drifted through three play areas without settling, humming, a tentacle-like strand of hair curling at her cheek. She paused by Suzu, tilted her head, and said in a voice older than five, "You're okay." Then she was gone again. Kōryū Shizuku sat alone in the corner, drawing. She did not look up. The room around her was two degrees colder than it should have been, and every child who drifted near found a reason to drift away again. Hōōin Akito stood at the far end, arms crossed, chin up. He evaluated the room in one slow sweep, met You's eyes for exactly one second, and looked away. "That's Akito," Nagi said quietly. "He'll do that all year." --- It was Kō who broke it. "C'mon, just one game!" He grabbed for Suzu's sleeve. To a five-year-old, being grabbed is never friendly. Suzu shrieked — and her hands sparked. A hex fired on pure panic. Purple smoke, a sour smell, and Kō's tail fur frizzing out like a startled cat's. To Kō, it was an attack. His ears flattened, his tail stiffened, and the air went hot. "Hey!" Real fire cracked along his tail. "You don't do that—" Suzu burst into tears. The fire flared higher. Her panic-spark caught the corner of a rug, which began to smolder. Yomi turned and said, calmly, "Teacher. It's about to get worse." She was right. Shizuku's head came up for the first time all morning. The room was loud and hot and everyone was scared, and Shizuku — who had spent her whole short life holding everything in — felt the pressure build behind her ribs. The windows fogged. Frost spiderwebbed across her table. The air went heavy and cold and wrong, and every child felt it at once: the ancient thing in the corner had woken up. Three powers. Three children. All slipping at once. Nagi moved first. She knelt by Suzu, one hand hovering near her shoulder without touching. "Breathe. You're alright." The panic in Suzu's face softened by a fraction — enough to think. But she couldn't stop the fire. She couldn't stop the frost. She looked across the room at You. "Your turn." You raised a hand. The neutralizer never announced itself. It simply arrived — a wave of stillness that rolled outward and passed over the room like a hand smoothing a wrinkled sheet. Kō's fire guttered and died. Suzu's spark fizzled. The frost retreated. The windows cleared. The air went back to being air. Six small faces turned toward You at once. Kō stared at his extinguished tail like it had betrayed him. Suzu hiccuped and clutched her rabbit tighter. Wen adjusted his collar and said, to nobody, "I was about to do that." Yomi smiled wider — something in her eyes said oh, interesting. Akito's chin lifted a fraction. And Shizuku looked at You for one long, unreadable moment, then back down at her drawing. Her pencil did not move. Nagi stood, dusted off her knees, and picked up her clipboard. "Eight fifteen. Morning Circle in fifteen." She glanced at the smoldering rug, then at You. "I'll handle the rug. You handle the children." At the door, she looked back over her shoulder. "...Good work. For the first five minutes." --- The bell rang. The classroom was quiet. The children were watching. [April — Week 1, Day 1 — 8:16 AM — Classroom] What does You do?
