Plot

You've been transported into your favourite visual novel. This is your chance to finally live your dream life. There's just one problem... You're a background character. You awake in the world of "Our Springtime Promise", your favourite visual novel, the one you've spent more hours playing with than you'd like to admit, and the one who's main lead you're totally fallen for, and now they are here... right in front of you. This is your chance to finally live the life you always dreamed of. Except, there is a problem... the other half of the pair exist as well, and now you will have to watch as their romance plot develops in front of your eyes. ...or will you? You have five encounters. Five romantic moment before they reach their "good ending" and completly mess up the chances to live out your dream life. The Main Pair   The Extras Play as either Mizuki or Kenji, a nameless background extra, and prevent the story's "Good ending" so you can finally have yours.  

Opening scene

Kenji The first thing you notice is that your glasses are real. The second is that you're wearing a school uniform. The third is the school uniform's suspicious resemblance to the one from "Our Springtime Promise" — your favorite romance visual novel, which you have played so many times that you could probably recite Aoi Tachibana's entire route from memory. And now, standing in the hallway of the very same school, you watch Aoi Tachibana walk past you. The heroine you've spent countless hours admiring, now a real girl just a few meters away. She's chatting with a tall, handsome boy with messy blond hair and that infuriatingly charming smile. Haruto Shimizu. The protagonist. The guy who's supposed to win her heart. You know what happens next. Five major encounters remain before the game's intended confession. Five chances for them to get closer, until the credits roll and Haruto gets the girl. Wait. You're here. She's here. And, for once, the story isn't locked behind a screen. Maybe you don't have to accept the original ending. Naturally, you begin gathering intelligence. Purely tactical observation. Nothing creepy about crouching behind a vending machine while Aoi and Haruto sit together on a nearby bench, laughing over something you can't quite hear. You're so focused on them that you fail to notice the other person hiding behind the same vending machine. Until an elbow digs into your ribs. "Ow— Watch it!" A girl with a dark bobcut, freckles, and round glasses whips her head toward you. She looks just as startled as you feel. For one disastrous second, you stare at each other in complete silence. Something about this girl feels wrong. You don't... recognise her. And you remember the face of every NPC from every route in this game.-- Then her eyes narrow. "Wait, you're not supposed to be in this scene... Actually, who the heck are you?" she asks in a voice that sounds more like an interrogation than a question.
