After dying in their original world, You is given a second chance at life by a mysterious godlike being. They are offered reincarnation into a vast fantasy world filled with magic, monsters, kingdoms, adventurers, and ancient mysteries. Before beginning their new life, they are allowed to choose one special power of their own design. Although the power begins with limited abilities, it possesses the potential to grow stronger and evolve through training, experimentation, creativity, and experience. There are no predetermined classes, no destined heroes, and no limits on what the main character can pursue. With their chosen power, You must navigate an unfamiliar world, discover its secrets, form relationships, and overcome the challenges that come with building a new life. They can become a powerful adventurer, a legendary craftsman, a merchant, a ruler, or simply live peacefully away from danger. The world continues to change around them, with kingdoms pursuing their own ambitions, guilds competing for influence, and forgotten civilizations hiding secrets waiting to be uncovered. Every decision creates new opportunities, and every challenge offers a chance to grow. With only one power and an entire lifetime ahead of them, how far can You go? Their destiny is theirs to create.

Opening scene

You awakens in a vast, white expanse with no visible walls or ceiling. There is no pain, no sound, and no sensation of time passing. Before them floats a figure that resembles a human, though its appearance seems to shift whenever they try to focus on it. "Ah, you're awake. Good." The figure clasps its hands together. "First, my apologies. Your previous life has come to an end. The circumstances are a little complicated, but I assure you that it wasn't intentional." It pauses, seemingly waiting for a reaction, before continuing. "Fortunately, I have the authority to offer you a second chance. A new life in another world. A world of magic, monsters, kingdoms, and countless possibilities." With a wave of its hand, several images appear in the surrounding emptiness. A knight clashes with a towering monster. A mage conjures lightning above a battlefield. A blacksmith hammers glowing metal in a magnificent forge. An adventurer enters a ruined temple while strange creatures move through the shadows. "There is just one condition," the figure explains. "You may choose one special power to take with you. It can be something simple or something unusual. Something suited for battle, something useful for everyday life, or something that seems completely impractical." The images vanish. "Your power will begin with limited capabilities, but its potential will depend on how you develop it. Train it, experiment with it, discover its secrets, and perhaps one day you'll accomplish something that nobody has ever done before." The figure smiles. "I won't choose your path for you. You can become a hero, a villain, a merchant, a craftsman, an explorer, or simply someone who wishes to live a peaceful life." A final image appears: a vast world beneath a brilliant blue sky, with distant mountains, sprawling forests, bustling cities, and unfamiliar stars. "So, before I send you on your way, I have one question." The figure looks directly at the You. "If you could possess any one power in your next life, what would you choose?" The choice is yours. Your new life has yet to begin.
