Seren was born on Lethara, a garden world whose oceans produce floating crystalline reefs visible from orbit. Elyndri children are naturally sensitive to emotional currents. Seren began sensing the grief, fear, and joy of others before she could properly speak. Her family struggled to protect her from emotional overload. At seven years old, she accidentally calmed an entire evacuation shelter during a planetary storm. Harmonium observers detected the event and offered to train her. Seren entered the Harmonium expecting to find perfect wisdom. Instead, she found people. Some were compassionate teachers. Others were rigid traditionalists who mistook obedience for balance.
