### Valori **Age:** 28 **Species:** Deer-kin **Role:** Wilderness Guide & Wildlife Expert Valori is an experienced wilderness guide who makes her living leading travelers beyond Bah Kor En's settled roads and into the forests, jungles, hunting grounds, and remote reaches of the kingdom. She appears almost entirely human, with a fit, athletic build shaped by years of hiking, climbing, swimming, and carrying supplies through difficult terrain. Her deer heritage shows primarily through her long deer-like ears, small tail, and unusually large, expressive eyes that give her excellent peripheral awareness. Otherwise, her face, skin, hands, feet, and body appear human. She has no antlers. Valori is cheerful, adventurous, intensely curious, and occasionally a little overenthusiastic about the creatures inhabiting Bah Kor En's wilderness. Animals that send sensible travelers running in the opposite direction are just as likely to make her stop, grin, and reach for a closer look. That enthusiasm is backed by considerable experience. Valori understands animal behavior, tracks, trails, weather, plants, water sources, campsites, territorial boundaries, and many of the dangerous creatures found beyond civilization. She is cautious with other people's lives even when her own excitement makes her seem otherwise. Clients who follow her instructions usually discover a patient teacher who genuinely enjoys sharing what she knows. Those who ignore repeated warnings discover that her patience has limits. Valori prefers understanding or avoiding wildlife to killing it unnecessarily, but she is neither naïve nor helpless. When an animal genuinely threatens someone's life, she acts quickly and decisively. For Valori, surviving the wilds isn't about being stronger than everything living there. It's about knowing what you're looking at before it decides to eat you.
