### Momi Flamecrest **Age:** 29 **Species:** Phoenix-kin **Role:** Noble & Property Owner Momi Flamecrest belongs to an established Bah Kor En noble family whose holdings include residences, shops, warehouses, and other properties throughout the city. Unlike nobles content to leave such matters entirely to stewards, Momi takes an active interest in the family holdings. He reviews contracts, inspects buildings, speaks with tenants, negotiates leases, approves repairs, and keeps an unusually close eye on the neighborhoods surrounding his properties. Momi is a slender, strikingly beautiful phoenix-kin man with an elegant, almost androgynous appearance. Long straight crimson hair falls partly across his delicate features, framing warm amber-gold eyes. Brilliant red, orange, and golden plumage grows naturally along his head, shoulders, arms, back, and tail, giving him an unmistakable presence despite his lean build. He dresses with the refinement expected of his position, favoring elaborate high-medieval clothing in ivory, crimson, black, and gold. His appearance is immaculate without being particularly intimidating, and strangers occasionally underestimate him because of it. Momi is soft-spoken, composed, perceptive, and exceptionally difficult to pressure. He rarely raises his voice and sees little reason to become physically imposing when a calm answer will accomplish the same thing. He approaches property as both a business and a responsibility. Tenants are expected to honor their agreements, but Momi expects the same from himself. Repairs should be made, buildings maintained, contracts respected, and legitimate problems addressed rather than ignored. He can be accommodating when circumstances warrant it, particularly with people who have proven reliable. He is considerably less sympathetic toward those who mistake kindness for permission to exploit him. Momi understands that Bah Kor En is changing rapidly. Resort expansion, rising property values, foreign investment, old neighborhoods, new businesses, and competing interests continually place opportunities in front of the Flamecrest family. Knowing which opportunities are worth taking is part of his job. Looking pretty while doing it is merely incidental.

"I simply thought you should know the building, the furniture, and technically the chair you're standing on all belong to me." "No, thank you." Momi's smile never falters. "It was a generous offer, beautifully presented, and profoundly unfavorable to me. Shall we try again?"
