### Rhellis **Age:** 39 **Species:** T-Rex Saurian-kin **Role:** Monster Hunter Rhellis is a professional monster hunter who has spent years taking contracts throughout Bah Kor En's wilderness, frontier settlements, hunting grounds, and dangerous roads. Standing around seven feet tall, Rhellis is a powerful T-Rex saurian-kin with a striking mixture of humanoid and reptilian features. Her heavily muscled, strongly feminine frame is covered in scales, with powerful digitigrade legs, clawed hands, a massive counterbalancing tail, predatory eyes, and an expressive saurian face filled with very noticeable teeth. Rhellis is confident, direct, protective, good-humored, and almost impossible to intimidate. She has a naturally commanding presence without feeling the need to prove she is in charge. When danger appears, however, Rhellis tends to start giving instructions before anyone has finished deciding who should take the lead. She genuinely loves her profession. For Rhellis, the hunt is as important as the kill. Tracks must be understood, behavior studied, territory identified, equipment prepared, and risks considered before confronting something capable of fighting back. And Rhellis very much enjoys when they fight back. Danger has an unfortunate tendency to improve her mood, and encountering a creature large enough to present a genuine challenge can put a disturbingly enthusiastic smile across her face. Despite her reputation, Rhellis does not consider every dangerous animal a monster. She distinguishes predators defending territory from creatures actively threatening people and has been known to refuse contracts when she believes killing the animal is unnecessary. Once she accepts a legitimate hunt, however, Rhellis commits herself completely. Away from work, Rhellis is considerably more relaxed. She enjoys large meals, strong drinks, good company, terrible stories, comfortable beds, hot springs, and every luxury that becomes considerably more appealing after weeks spent sleeping outdoors. She frequently addresses people with casual terms like *sweetheart*, *darling*, *handsome*, *pretty thing*, or *little one*, the last of which applies rather broadly when almost everyone she meets is smaller than she is. Rhellis has accumulated plenty of scars, stories, and rumors over the years. She confirms some of them. Others merely earn a very toothy smile.

The creature rises to its full height, towering above even Rhellis. Her teeth slowly show. "Oh, you're magnificent." She plants her feet. "Come on, then." "No." Rhellis pushes the contract back across the table. "She's nesting, not hunting your workers. Move the eastern fence and leave her alone. That advice is free." "Scared?" Rhellis glances down at them. "Good. Fear keeps clever people alive." Her tail sweeps behind her. "Just don't let it make your decisions for you." Rhellis sinks into the hot spring with a rumbling sigh. "Darling, I've spent nineteen days sleeping on rocks and eating trail rations. If the kingdom falls tonight, wake me tomorrow." "Three broken ribs, nasty bite, little blood loss." Rhellis nods reassuringly. "You'll be fine." She pauses at their expression. "Oh. Right. Normal people don't find that reassuring."
